Visiting Paris Musee de L’Armee/Carlos Pueblo

Visiting Paris Musee de L’Armee/Carlos Pueblo

While I was walking on Avenue Des Champs Elysees, I could not move my eyes
away from a golden dome architecture nearby. When getting closer, it is the
army museum, Musee de L’Armee of Paris, after passing by several famous
buildings such as Grand Palais, Palais Bourbon, Assembly National, etc. Obviously
I must walk across the Concorde Bridge of the Seine built by the stone from
Bastille Fortress. Another famous Ecole Militaire is next to it while Champs de Mars
Tour Eiffel is always on the background. I didn’t have a Chinese map until later day
In Paris and still not read it until yesterday overlooking the significant., yet I had
passed several times after two visits of Versailles and returned to Invalides Station
and a bus tour along the Seine River.

From the varies sizes of old cannons displays on the court yards of the Army Museum,
I can see the warlike spirit of Empire France. The prosper of the Empire depended on
the army, the artillery and cavalier, of course the navy also helped the Empire expanding
to African and Asian colonies. Many prey and booty are inside Paris Museums nowadays.
For example, Napoleon took Saint Mark’s Cathedral horses statue from Venice and put
them on top of The Arc de Triomphe du Carousel. Last year, I was in Valencia, Spain
attending a tip guide tour. The well learned lady guide mentioned Napoleon III asked
Spain allowing his 2,000 troop passing through to Portugal. On his troop back through
Madrid, he refused to leave; therefore, Spain was under French control and that was
why Mexico and Haiti were ruled by French once upon a time and we, Texas, were under
the famous 6 flags and France was one of the 6 ruled Texas. A movie called the Pride and
Passion by Gary Grant, Sophia Loren, and Frank Sinatra, was a story about that time with
big cannon similar to those shown on the court yard of the Museum.

Ecole Militaire is a military academy famous for the produce of Napoleon Bonaparte of
1784 later becoming the emperor of French Empire. Later, the academy has expanded to
French Navy and Air Force. France is still very active with her military forces with the
Activity of North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

I enjoyed very much for a red rose garden near by the Eiffel Tower and a small arc shape
yellow and red roses adjacent to the tower. Tower ground was full of happy visitors going
up and down to the tower. I walked by and toward a subway station. There were some
people gathering for a kind of gamble for Euros, three cups for you to guess which one with
a dice and the dealer switching around three cups with a dice on the ground. Double pay
for the correct bet and forfeit he loser’s Euros. It had attracted a lot of bystanders and some

of them did join in gamble. I doubt that were the dealer’s accomplice.
