 康州紐海文市候船／莊峻華

經過多日折騰，餘事仍未了，榮祥來訊，無法提供五日住宿，於是我開始準備，我先下飛機，尋問大都會交通北段，搭車到康州紐海文市，找到西郊一汽車旅館，每日搭巴士逛耶魯大學，邂逅一位中國美女研究生，參觀耶魯校園，郵輪啟航日，再從紐海文市，搭原班車回曼哈頓港口，非常有趣。

紐約市旅館很貴，我因貪小便宜，幾十年都是叨擾容祥兄，但又口無遮攔，言語經常冒犯人，因此需要被考驗，我曾住紐海文市一週，拜訪耶魯大學，甚有美憶，論旅遊價值是上選，有位機場資訊小姐，寫張字條，教我如何換車，一路問道，我是津津樂道，中間遇到許多少數民族善人幫忙，在綠公園旁一中餐廳，找到這客棧，每天從西郊握爾碼站，搭免費巴士到耶魯大學，這大學校園，就在紐海文市城中，這時候是春初，市立公墓有鮮豔櫻花幾株，引我入境。

愛美電話來曰與新輪胎行夥計爭吵，說是要告此人，這是因為元兒換四輪胎後，車盤紅燈亮，元兒再回車行，車行調整後收費$250，愛美不服又去責問，隨後自己輪胎也有問題曰，前日赴哈比機場接我，夜間路不熟，又撞到甚麽，卡斯可大店無其型輪胎，要她開車到凱蒂鎮卡斯可店，她又不敢去，還好我已打電話向新輪胎行夥計道歉，說是愛美要我請他原諒告人威脅，我是早了一步棋，這都是在墳墓牆外，我再電話給夥計，請他幫忙照顧愛美輪胎，特別交待我在紐海文付帳，然後我叫愛美開車到輪胎行找他，我在外候船，還需處理家務事。

這位姑娘父母親來自廈門，但她無法語廈門話，倒是北京語字正腔圓，她很耐心陪我逛這美麗墓園，她是環境科學管理博士班，已在伊莉諾取得碩士，這時候輪胎行夥計電話來，我拿出信用卡，却無法看明背後三字密碼，馬上煩請姑娘幫忙，於是我甚感謝她的耐心，邀請她翌日午餐，她也大方答應，我們有一有趣豐盛之中餐，席間又遇見一位英國姑娘住牛津市，能語中文，我旅行過牛津市數次，我提到一處她說是牛津草地港，草地座落泰晤士河畔。我取下這位博士班姑娘電郵地址，一路上橫跨大西洋，都向她報平安。

紐約市回程，我搭第一班車回紐海文綠地城中，這是週日，火車站專車停駛，一位善心流浪者，指點我搭一般巴士，這位流浪者能西班牙語，英文也甚道地，顯然受過很好教育，他就睡在騎樓下，我有很多感處。我是一路問道抵達曼哈頓碼頭，最後一段是搭巴士到終站，一位善心執勤女士，走出地鐵站，伴我走到巴士站，肯定我上車後始離去，在終站轉角處，有西藏人在示威抗議中國統治，讓我憶起當年我們抗議國民黨中國人蔣家在台統治，已經是25年前之往事矣。

There were 4 cruises for me this spring that forced me to recognize my aging, especially on the first two weeks intermediate. I was on my way back to Houston, the plane was canceled after I checked in my luggage. Luggage were sent to Dallas according to the original flight; therefore, I couldn't get them when I arrived Houston Hobby Airport. Amy came to the airport to pick me up for an immediate trip to Austin for her house sitting while they were on a pre-planned vacation to Mexico. The airliner allowed me to pick up misplaced luggage after a week when I came back to Hobby for my returning trip to La Guadia in New York City for my second cruise with the same ship. Amy had a hard time to reach the airport and there was a story behind it.

We came back home on Sunday night and I found a note on the table from my son Arthur. he had a flat tire yet didn't bothered me. He drove my old car to work. I went to check his flat tire in the trunk which was like an explosion. He did explain the ordeal which he had experienced, his phone was out of battery and struggle to make it to a car garage and walked home. I decided to take him to replace the damaged tire on Monday. Tuesday I needed to leave again as I described for my second trip to Europe on cruise.

Monday morning, we went to a new tires store to replace all 4 tires and came back to our subdivision area for banking and replacing his i-phone battery. I got my $300 cash alright in a bank envelope and placed in my short pant's pocket. Phone company's store opens at 10 am. We went to a store to buy a Teflon pans for Amy. The phone shop clerk referred us to a store called You broke it I fix it to see if they could help us. The technician indicated that the battery was still 90% good and no need to replace the battery. We went to the tire store to pick up his car and that was quick as promised. When I arrived home, I needed to prepare a dental appointment to clean my natural teeth left inside my mouth. I couldn't find my cash envelope. It was gone and my blood was boiling up.

The dental hygienist couldn't perform the powerful cleaning. I was worry about the $300 lost money for my trip. I followed the same track to the You broke it I fix it store for my first try of many stores which I had been on that morning including the phone shop, huge Teflon pans store, and the tire store. I knew my chance to recover the cash was very little. Lucky me, an honest technician returned my lost cash back to me. He only asked me what was the content.

Tuesday was another busy day and the day for me to leave Houston again. I first sent Amy to a Sugar Land Hospital for her small procedure on her left breast diagnosis. Then, I drove back to Houston to take my Covid-19 test for my cruise and back to take her home. The problem was that she kept on bleeding and I didn't know what to do. Finally, I managed to take two buses to get to Hobby to stay overnight for an early flight.

從寶石號下船後，我在紐約市又住上幾天，最後一日，榮祥好意開車帶我到法拉盛唐人街，專程拜訪其公子，愛美外甥，一位藥劑師，與人合夥在法拉盛開設藥局，門市就在一三角攤，算是鬧市，這外甥十分忙碌，也不知應對，我連忙退下，榮祥語我兒子不悅我們打擾，我想是藥局尚有其他合夥人，但是我也不高興，回公寓後講些重話，翌晨我就搭機返家，我是準備10日後回紐約市搭寶石號到羅馬，一共16日。

飛機有誤，原班飛機取消，臨時安排我直飛休市，我正憂慮已託運之兩箱行李，果然無法同時到達，行李按照原班計劃，先送到達拉斯機場，要翌日始可抵達，我因計劃當夜趕往奧斯汀，幫琳兒照顧家人愛犬愛貓五日，所以要愛美來哈比機場接我，但又無行李，只好先回家，再上路，在奧斯汀幾日，均不愉快。回家後發現元兒字條，其車爆胎，半夜走路回家，我看爆胎粉碎，幸好人有驚赫身無恙，我連忙帶他到鄰近輪胎店，換下四新輪胎，這一日我甚忙碌，先是換輪胎，然後到大通銀行領現金三百，準備橫跨大西洋，等美國電話店十點開門，換元兒手機電池，先到鄰近握爾瑪店買鍋給愛美，電話店介紹我到另家專門店名曰，你弄壞我修理，店員檢查後曰無礙，我們就離去。

回家後發現現金三百銀行信封，不翼而飛，我真是五血沸騰，剛好我又有洗牙約會，小姐量血壓165太高，不敢動工，只好另作安排，我心掛念丟掉三百元，況且牙齒剩下不多，年紀也大，無需計較。回家時，我先回你弄壞店，詢問店員是否看到一銀行白信封，年輕人先問內容為何？我說三百元，他入內拿信封還我，美國是有好人。

翌日，就是我啟程回紐約市搭船，我先送愛美到糖城醫院做乳房切片手術，然後再到藥局做武肺鼻測，以供上船許可用，再回糖城帶愛美回家，下午愛美血流不止，非常緊張，我是舉止無措，愛美抱怨我經常旅行，我又回罵她死好，找峻嚴幫忙，他說眼睛夜晚失明，可能需找兩兒子，我聽下心冷，問愛美一姊姊在夏威夷旅行，另一長姊84歲，愛美只好按緊胸部止血，我連忙搭巴士到哈比機場，還好血止。

Back in April when I started back for my cruise journal, I waited for the embarkation in New York City as well  as the disembarkation. It is all because that I love NYC and in consideration of the airfare. Lucky me, Mr. Yong my brother-in-law came in to help as my host and guide. He used to work with the Metro till his retirement. 

We went to my favorite marinated duck restaurant near the Moss Street at Manhattan Chinatown. This time I skipped to carry out the duck due to long walk of the day, yet we had a good nice meal at the small restaurant. I even waited at a drug store to get my 4th booster shot afterward. NYC is a famous metropolitan city and very interesting.

He lives at Astoria near the Laguardia at Queens. He took me to a nice park by the East River with a cargo rail above it. The East River, east Hudson, is nice and quiet and I don't mind to march here in the morning every day for my exercises. It was a nice and chilly spring day not many people. We went to the Flushing Chinatown as well. I mentioned that I bought 6 quevas and broke my tooth on the first bite.

He took me to visit the Roosevelt Island on a cable over the East River. I didn't see the United Nations building and he did mention a story of the old UN residents near by. Now it is very expansive area. He also took me to visit a supermarket where shoppers carry their purchase to take home by train. It is very different from what we do in Houston by your vehicle on the back of the trunk.

I had a very nice Korean meal with an old friend, Patrick at Flushing Chinatown. He is familiar with the Korean cuisine and the restaurant is very nice. I think that I shall be doing fine if I have an opportunity to live in NYC.

這次郵輪旅行，選擇紐約市上下船，主要是連襟榮祥兄住紐約市，有一沙發讓我候船，何以候船，因為機票昂貴考慮，所以我早到幾天，晚回來幾天，也麻煩他甚多，紐約市是大都會，許多人都貪小便宜，尤其是親戚朋友，剛好，榮祥好客，我如此叨擾也有幾十年歷史，他在州府地鐵工作到退休，紐約市非常熟悉，而且也是好導遊，省下很多時間。

他介紹我潮州滷鴨，我來紐約市一定光顧，這餐廳座落於曼哈頓唐人街，靠近莫街，他認識兩代老闆，所以我的三鮮麵料特多，以前我感謝他給我方便，每次都提滷鴨外賣送他，和他喝啤酒，人生一樂也。這次我們再到曼哈頓唐人街，我甚至打了武肺第四針，也在街上多作一次鼻測檢驗，我行前在休市藥局先作一次，一次老人健保理賠七十五美金。

下船後，又待上三天候機，給他很不方便，他還是很耐心的帶我逛紐約市，我們到法拉盛唐人街，拜訪他長公子之藥局，年輕人努力工作，紐約市一小獨門獨院老磚房，要價約兩百萬美金，我在一水果店買了七粒蕃石榴，一磅是三美金，回公寓後，一口咬斷一片牙齒，神經曝露，很是馬煩。

紐約市很熱鬧，我很喜歡紐約市，他帶我逛一家超市，非常有趣，這超市客戶都是搭車走路來，所以不能攜帶過多，整個店擠滿客戶，他要我體會大都會生活，和鄉村城市休市有異。

他帶我參觀東哈德遜河兩次，一次就在公寓附近，環境幽雅，東河很乾淨，最近新聞讀到海豚已經開始回紐約市，還有一次是參觀羅斯福島，坐攬車掛在河上，也是東河，聯合國在附近有宿舍住宅區，現在已經是非常昂貴。

Tortola is turtle in English. I believe English have taken Virgin Islands from Spain and still keep the Spanish name for the capital town. There is another Virgin Islands that under the U.S. control called the U.S. Virgin Islands where I have been visited several times. This island is famous for the international re-insurance business that I still like to know more about it; however, I don't know how to start to ask because that I don't see any sign of financial activities around the port. 

I do see many luxury villas on the hill. Residents must drive down to the downtown Tortola for grocery shopping or evening activities. I can see some damaged buildings from various hurricane in the Caribbean Sea. Usually I walk to the left first from the pier on the main avenue shops on both sides. Then turn left to view some more. I couldn't find the tent church on a field this time that might not be on Sunday. It was for local residents.

Thanks to Yong for his patient and allowed suggestion just walked around. He was just out of a severe sickness and I had no habit to swim on the beach. I took some pictures of local flowers of the Bougainvillea and the Poinciana or the Phoenix. Phoenix flowers remind me my youth time in Taiwan. Flowers are red blossom in the summer when there is a summer vacation from schools or the graduation to participate various entrance examinations for schools such as the middle school, senior high school, and college, etc. The climate of Virgin Islands are similar to Taiwan or Hawaii. We can see many similar plants and flowers. I also took many photos for mango trees with fruits.

I got my watch battery replaced here. Yong didn't mind to have a break in front of an office building to read his mobile phone. There is a small nice rest room building near by. I used to take a nap at this park where I was tired and had no where important to go.

The Filipino technician was surprised of my basic Tagalog where I learned on ships. He is a young man and like to visit Taipei on the way back to Manila. I told him not this year because that you are required the quarantine time.

龜鎮是西語命名，英國取得統治權後，經營幾百年，頗具規模，也是全球財務中心，加勒比海颶風頻頻，鎮上建築零落痕跡，但見富裕，我來過龜鎮好幾次，都是逛街，有一年甚至參加原野草場禮拜，這次未見教堂，顯然不是週日，龜鎮山腰許多別墅，歐美富人，喜歡加勒比海氣候，加上英語，非常方便，開車下山購物，海水浴場，鎮上也有夜生活，我帶榮祥兄左右逛街，然後讓他在一辦公大樓前院滑手機，我就繼續尋找手錶電池店，這次幾經介紹問路，終於在一商區找到，十美金一粒電池，皇天不負苦心人。

這時候龜島鳳凰花開，台灣鳳凰花盛開於夏季，正是學校畢業，聯考時刻，這都是年輕時代之辛酸甜苦辣，我們都是經過一番寒澈骨的歲月。小鎮小規模，我想了解一些再保險公司內容，顯然不甚普遍，畢竟龜鎮不若倫敦紐約，不到中午，我們就打道回府，畢竟船上活動多，經濟實惠。

我喜歡郵輪旅行，因為舒適方便安全，包括食宿交通，我尚且可以上兩節菲語課，船上有許多藝人表演，當然，最主要者為年輕有禮，工作勤奮之船員，我因為搭乘此郵輪公司幾十次，結交許多美麗親切青年，郵輪旅行就像回家一樣，這次旅行結束回家，處理一週家務事，我將搭此船，橫跨大西洋到羅馬。

Last Thursday evening of the 23rd of July, the House J6 committee held its season's final hearing to prove Trump's malfeasance, the crime of misconduct in office. He violated his oath to be the President of the United States. I have already known his motive and he says it recently that he has already made up his mind to run 2024 Presidential Election in order to avoid his legal issues.

There are numerous criminal and civil issues which he is facing now including this J6 coup d'etat. He has broken all kinds of law. He was sheltered under his Presidency during 2017-2021. He loves to have another waiver from 2024-2028 or even extended for life. He did attempted to agitate a war with China in 2020 right before the election, please see the tension at the South China Sea. Chinese Xi knew it and prohibit his army not to fire the first shot. Trump got the idea of FDR during the WWII. He always attempt to find his way.

Actually, the United States is very much different from Germany the 1930's. The U.S. is very much mature of the democracy. There was a riot on January 6, 2021inside the Capitol. Without his order, the National Guards couldn't come to rescue victims and the U.S. Democracy. It's very simple chain of command, the President orders his Defense Secretary, and the waiting National Guard units could enter Washington, D.C. to support the D.C. Police to expel the arms rioters. Vice President's advisors advised him not to get into his vehicle provided by the Secret Service Unit to drive him away from the Capitol. Trump was watching the television, the Fox News, and didn't have his alternative game plan until someone told him the VP steped in calling for help. Then, he came out of his TV room to order his coup conspirators to go home that he thought of them special and he loved them.

It is not like the military coups around the world, of course, he is not a military strong me. He has never been in the military service. He dodged his draft during the Vietnam War. His coup attempt was planned by a group of ill learned lawyers and politician. His rioters are not discipline soldiers but racists, Christens fundamentalists, and admirers of his fantasy that made up to almost 50% votes.

上週四國會繼續一月六日真相聽證會，這次重點在當日，川普之所作所為，尤其是當其煽動之本國暴民，持械攻入國會之三小時餘，川普在白宮餐廳吃爆米花，欣賞其主持下之暴力政變，不理不採全國人請求，中止此亂，直到副總統避難中，下令國防部長，動用待命華府之國民兵，川普知道暴動國會政變已敗，通知暴亂中之暴徒回家，圖窮匕見是中國史記名句，用在大騙川普亂紀，真是沾汙美國法治，川普正在面對美國法律，我相信美國能將其繩之以法。

公民課曰，總統是全國三軍統帥，美國有一半選民支持川普，因此，治安國安等單位，故意作視，加上川普同謀者執政，國會參衆議員緊急中，電話四處懇求市長，州長等幫忙，國法曰國防部長需下令，國民兵始能出動，河邊之衛戍師和戰鬥機，只能抵禦外侮，川普煽動暴動政變，危恐天下不亂，如何能下令止亂？所以僅能懇求他叫暴民回家，顯然他瀆職，第二次彈核，也為共和黨參議員包庇，直到現在，仍舊有接近一半選民支持他，美國亦甚可憐。

川普開始哀鳴，說是他為美國歷史上，被整肅最多者，其實是他犯法最多，說謊成性，美國法律可以處理說謊，制罪說謊，就是要你宣誓下作證，川普律師團，全力避免川普到作證地步，但現在開始無法逃避，先是紐約州，因前妻喪事延期，這是商務詐騙案和逃漏稅，還有巧治亞州案，現在的內亂政變案，還有一強姦案，原告不願妥協，只想他入獄，我想還有他報銷桃色糾紛以公司預算，或選舉捐款，任公職濫用公款等都有罪，連英皇都不滿他的直升機，破壞白金漢宮草皮，英國人不喜歡他要求英軍方，擺置防空飛彈，我也討厭他濫用多項公款，像是保護紐約市川普大廈。

It is very unthinkable to discuss the poverty in a rich nation such as the United States, yet it is true that some people are in the level of the poverty in this nation. Especially during the uncertain time of the inflation and at the brink of a recession, the media always love to exaggerate things just to scare people. There are many reason why people are in poverty which I can't describe about completely; therefore, I am discussing again for my 2022 edition.

Recently, I came back from a back to back cruise trip in Alaska. Amy and I had an argument on our way back to the ship from a small park up stream of the Ketchikan Creek, a fish hatchery. I insisted to go through a tall frame building where I once passed by with a German couple. The gentleman mentioned to me that even the richest nation had a deteriorate building like that. It was our earlier visit of the 2010's. I understood and took many photos for my collection. Ketchikan was established during the gold rush of Alaska. It is still not quite prosperous after the gold rush. I have been to this Alaskan small fish town for about 8 times. On my 4th time, I saw no deteriorate frame building and that building's fade white exterior faded. The owner has re-innovate that building for a good use of it. I still like to visit that site to remember my found memory of the past when I was a little bit younger. It is not far away from the senior high school baseball field. 

I don't believe that Ketchikan township will allow such ugly deteriorate frame building to show tourists like that I won't allow my children to become homeless. I started early when they were born. I made sure that I could provide more than basic needs for them to grow. I made sure that they had plenty of funds to finish college. I am still helping them no matter what they need it or not. It was because that my parents did it to me. Americans call it the family value.

I love to travel to Hawaii. I always play tennis at the Waikiki public courts early in the morning. Before the day break, group of homeless people walk toward the edge of the beach to get their warm breakfast. There are also dinners provided that call the soup kitchen. Hawaii is a rich state yet there are still homeless people. I am also very impressed that I do see a large pantry in a northeastern city on my cruise route. It provides ready food for the homeless and also kitchen needs for cooking. I was not allowed to take photos.

Finally, I like to mention something that I learn when I taught at Galveston Senior High school for two months. I saw the school kitchen provided two meals for needed students at school. Regretfully, some of those students left school after the lunch because that they needed to find a shelter at night. I don't think that we should yet we would help the poverty people if we are rich. People must grasp their opportunity to grow and fight wisely to struggle out of the poverty class.

今年有通貨膨脹和消條危機，輿論又開始興風作浪，開始危言聳聽，報導許多貧窮人之苦難，我看來心有戚戚焉，我出身在台灣，家境清寒，深知貧窮困境，一生都在致力於脫離貧窮桎梏，來美國後，果然給我機會改變貧窮階級，幾十年來，我變成津津樂道，變成老生長談。

來美國前，我是中學教員，有公務員資格，若老實教書到退休，大概可以溫飽，絕對不致於淪落到無家可歸，流浪地步，這是因為我有一對盡職之父母親，提供我們一穩定之成長環境，可以穩定接受學校教育，我現在看到的無家可歸流浪者，大概沒有我的幸運，原因很多，家庭不夠溫暖，或自己不夠老實，老實工作，老實儲蓄，老實好天存雨來糧，西諺云晴天曬牧草也。

所以政治上有墮胎法，讓無法養育子女者，有此選擇，在我們佛家，也有此忌諱，但也無良策，有很多家長，尚未準備妥善，新生嬰兒，無法得到妥善照顧，這是人生悲劇，我成長時有問題，父母隨時幫忙，很難落入無家可歸。

美國是富裕國度也，美國也有一些無家可歸者，也是三餐不濟，我常旅行夏威夷威基基海灘，我從夏大校園旁客棧，搭巴士到威基基打網球，天未亮就有很多流浪者群集公園取食，這是社會善心人所設立之湯廚，當然我也可以加入取食，但我不敢，在郵輪旅行美國東北某城市，市中心也有義廚，提供貧民新鮮食物糧食，美國是一真正人道國家，不會讓人餓死，這些義舉，多半是宗教團體提供，我在紐約市唐人街也看見過義廚，貧窮人需要把握機會工作，節約儲蓄，脫離困境。

英語曰將會，社會有力將會幫助窮人，但是家庭則應需幫助未成年子女，這是我的看法，我的父母給我成長環境，我也如此提供我的子女，而且更加擴大，協助他們儲蓄工作，走上財務獨立之境界。

Taiwan has gradually become a democratic nation since 1996. That year, Taiwan held a national election for the President and Chinese shot several missiles to Taiwan to harass Taiwan's leader mandated by voters. There are also a local election to select local leaders in Taiwan such as this year's election in November. My political attention now also includes such local election in Taiwan in 2022. It's more interesting than the mayor election in Houston or the governor election in Texas because that there is serious competition.

City of Taipei is the national capital of Taiwan where I had had 8 years residence experience early in my life. I have also paid very much attention to Taiwanese politic in my life. There are three mayoral candidates in Taipei City representing three different political parties. It is very closed in polls with two major parties candidates leading. The incumbent mayor, Dr. Ko, is not an affiliate of those two parties. His new party nominates his deputy mayor to represent his new party.

This local election will show some indications of the national election two years later in 2024. It will be also a three party race like this year in Taipei. I do have the opportunity to vote for the national President, as a matter of the fact I did in 2008. I am required to apply for my vote and go back to my home town address to vote. I can't vote any other election because I don't have Taiwanese citizenship. It is very strange yet it is true. Chinese can't vote in Taiwan either, of course, Chinese never obtain the right to vote in China. 

Taiwanese can select their leaders 4 years a term. Most of the leaders can only in two term 8 years continuously in the same position just like the U.S. There are examples for the upgrade from the mayor to the President and Dr. Ko and Dr. Lai, the incumbent Vice President, attempt to follow that example.

I like to go back to vote in 2024. I can still stay at my brother's home if I am still healthy.

選舉是人民之授權官員執政，今年是台灣縣市長選舉年，我雖然離開台灣近半世紀，因對政治之興趣，仍舊跟上台灣選舉之進度，有一年甚至專程趕回台灣選謝長廷，這是2008年之總統大選，謝雖敗於馬英九，馬是官司纏身，謝仍舊服務社稷，出使日本。今年，台灣有第三勢力成型，柯文哲的台灣民眾黨，繼中國國民黨和民主進步黨之後，可以威脅首都台北市長職者也，我喜歡柯文哲市長，我相信他絕然不會出賣台灣，他提到的台灣民衆黨五大政見之首，社會安權，我住美國很久，受益於美國的社會安全和社會福利制度，再加上退休儲續制度，因此，得以面對2022年通貨膨脹和消條，處變不驚，民衆黨有遠見，柯不愧出身學歷不俗。

美國的社會安全制度，是羅斯福總統之德政，有工作者累積點數，可以退休後領取社會福利金，後來詹森總統的老人健康保險，也參加在內，解決一大半美國人的退休生活，當然還有公司和個人退休金制度，像我就有一筆退休金，足夠維持老年生活。

台灣也有類似之退休制度，像公務員保險，勞工保險，職業軍人保險，我知道還有不足之處，因此政見可以在此方向發揮，胎灣移民住美國，工作是間點數不足，可以申請貧民保險和救濟金，有錢者就回台灣居住，台灣是一經濟已開發之國，政治管理理應走上這條路。

我觀察台北市長局，我發現柯推薦人，黃珊珊副市長，應該最適合當市長，應為她美麗，年輕幹練，又有實際市政經驗，柯市長之政策和管理方法，她都能繼續，發揚光大。

台灣的媒體都在攻擊柯文哲市長，台北市停滯八年，我雖未能回到台北市，在他執政期間，但我看不到一件弊案，看不見一貪汙官員，被繩之以法，中國人在101樓打台灣人，台北市蓋國民住宅，連我高中摯友都標到工程，柯曰八年開工兩萬間，還有改建菜市場，要常看他的演講，不是看民調，比較馬英九和郝龍斌這兩位中國人市長。

The Congress January 6 Committee on their 7th public hearing to prove that Trump calls the mob into chaos. It is coup d'etat. First, we need to understand his background as a rich playboy to a profiteer, then at his old age became a ruler of the United States. He enjoys the privilege as the President to shield all his legal offense; therefore, he calls the mob to attack the Congress building to stop a ceremonial proceeding of a peaceful transaction of the power to Joseph Biden who defeats him in 2020 election.

Trump is ignorant. The mob is neither the militia nor the army and the U.S. is much stronger than 1776. Even George Washington took several years to defeat George III with a lot of money financed by landlords and French King's support. He attempted to have a coup d'teat with a minimum effort. He didn't realize that the Congress police fight to stop his mob. Now, the Committee is investigating him and his co-conspirators. I enjoy to watch and read all about this investigation with a very detail explanation on the You Tube and written media. I am very interested in the RICO procedure, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act, applying to Trump. It is almost the conclusion of every commentator with a prosecutor's background.

A failed coup d'etat always has to pay the price, must face the law. Trump is facing the law now everywhere he break the law and he doesn't have any shield to cover him. He knows it and that is why he has been so desperate. He is threatening the entire nation to run again in 2024 for the President. Many law suits will following him after he is proven guilty. Then, he must spend money to settle law suits and his hotels and golf courts business will be affected. I don't think investors would like to pay him for his Trump franchise.

今午各大電視台，大報社網誌，都實況轉播國會暴亂聽證會，這一期是第七次，講到川普的稱兵作亂，川普一生做惡多端，大騙竊國後，食髓知味，極慾連任，享受總統優待，例如無需面對法律，又可已藉總統職位，大撈一筆，例如賣官賣特赦等，因此敗選後，怒火攻心，所有詐欺，強姦，逃漏稅等罪狀，均需一一面對東窗事發，挺而走險，唆使暴民，攜械攻入國會，幸好他的暴民不過是烏合之衆，川普也是紈絝子弟，微薄之國會警力，奮戰不懈四小時，終於討到救兵，聽證會只是算帳的開始，川普自幼不學無術，不知革命需要武力，美國總統職，不是暴民幾百位，就可以奪得，全美國有一半以上選民不支持川普，近半川普選民，也不願見川普之稱兵作亂，尤其喜愛減稅之富人，不願見國家動盪。

有位前驕傲男孩發言人，前來作證，被問道何以該組織前來攜械暴亂？事成後又想如何？此前發言人住科羅拉多州，驕傲男孩組織之頭目落魄時，住其地下室8個月，而後推薦為該組織之發言人，這種組織是自行武裝，參加川普作亂，期待事成後，能成為人民自衛隊，我聽畢莞爾，僅人民自衛隊？領取國家薪俸耳？想當兵可以從軍，或參加國民兵，不是嗎？又被川普這一夥騙矣，八百五十位，已經因國會暴亂被起訴，其中有些涉及叛亂罪。

美國人以法治為傲，現在的國會真相調查聽證會，熟練操作恐嚇勒索法，整飭黑社會，步步進逼川普，繩之以法。

Sunday, yesterday, both NBC & ABC talk show hosts interviewed Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Commerce Secretary for less 10 minutes and were appeared on the You Tube. When Raimondo talks I listen. She said that we shouldn't be talking ourselves into recession.

She pointed it out three economic front, the annual U.S. growth of 6%, lowest unemployed rate of 40 years which I read the report 3.6% a few minutes ago, and Biden needs all help from the Republican Senators, and the the Court, etc. Why I am so appreciated of her interview? I am an investor and manage my own savings. I need guidance especially at this critical time, the inflation and recession  occur simultaneously. I was in cash after selling all my oil stock and held some cash without any bearing interest. I knew that was not wise and went in to re-purchase 80% of those cash. The oil price drops rapidly thereafter and I have been trapped again like before. I go back to think again what is the inflation and the recession, the relation of both.

The U.S. economic engine has always powered through the recession such as the economic down fall of 2008 and the Covic-19 of 2020. As a matter of the fact that the inflation helps me out of my depressed oil stock investment. Now, I am wondering again with the oil price drops, of course, this may help to relax the inflation because most of products are made by oil not only energy portion, i.e. the petroleum by products.

Gina Raimondo was the governor of Rhode Island when Covic-19 hit in 2020. She said her State had 14% workers received unemployment benefit that meant out of job. She knew the pain as a Governor everyday at that time. She insists that Biden knows it very well and is working on it. She lists several example such as pass the chip bill to make chips in the U.S. now instead 6 months later. Help the women to join the work force by helping the child care policy. Both hosts asked her about the recent high Court reverse the abortion law. She said that didn't help at all. She also answered the immigration law to help increase low end workers shortage in the U.S.

I Google her resume and also her husband's, Andrew Moffitt. Both of them received solid college education and are lawyers in training. She was a venture capitalist before the politic while he started as a teacher in Houston low income area for the Teach America program and now a partner of the distinguished McKinsey specialized in leadership training and also an adjunct professor on that field at colleges.

昨日為週日，瀏覽網誌，注意到一美女商務部長相片，點閱兩大電視台訪問她，講到莫危言聳聽經濟蕭條，訪問簡短有趣，白宮每日記者會，將會請她前來助陣，這是再談通貨膨脹和經濟蕭條2022。

幾週前，我因不甘寂寞，又在股市變錢，將全賣出之石油股，買回八成，結果油價下跌，因為需要量減少，通貨膨脹有一定之道理，就是成長過久，美國如是，消費過多，貨幣流暢不順，美國非也，因此我賭上俄烏戰爭，石油禁運，我不能擱置現金，無所作為，銀行仍舊不給利息，仍舊招攬3％年利貸款，如果因油價物價上漲，減少消費，美國真會落入蕭條，國家人民全球，均將蒙受巨害，蓋美國為全球經濟火車頭，帶動全球經濟列車。

這位年輕美女部長名曰，姬娜。賴孟多，剛過五十歲，拜登上任，調她卸下羅德島州長職，負責全國商務，她說去年美國經濟成長是6％，當然這是武肺復甦期，美國失業率，幾十年最低，當然拜登總統，非常憂慮，白宮團隊也十分憂慮，因此，她認為國會應該馬上通過晶片法案，在美國生產晶片，減少晶片仰賴外國。她也提到俄烏戰爭，應該早日結束，這是石油供應問題，還有她說美國大企業總經理均甚樂觀自己公司。她認為應該加強婦女進入工作市場，政府提供托嬰幼兒照顧，記者主持人借題發揮墮胎案，她說於事無補，也提到移民法案，她很融匯貫統，提到美國低端勞動力之缺乏，時間有限，兩台訪問時間不到十分鐘。

她強調美國政策，應該是行政立法司法，三權分立配合，光拜登急無用，我想是依法無據，無法執行，她說無助，我猜是指共和黨的參議院和最高法院。

我連忙轉發兩則影訊給愛美，她對經濟股市武肺疫情等，都甚關心。我查谷歌，賴孟多學歷顯赫，哈佛學士，耶魯法學院，也查其夫婿，英俊蕭灑，是大企業合夥人，大學兼任教授，主要授與領導人訓練和培育，有兩子女，拜登還特別介紹過。

我對民主黨白宮用人和管理，非常心儀，比起前任川普布希等人，有明顯之對比。

My daughter Michelle has a better deal for us to change our mobile phones carrier. We add our three lines to her account with a different mobile phone carrier and we can save $20 a month. I don't like what I have been paying $90 for three lines for a month. Basically, mobile phones are necessary in the daily life even if I have very few calls to make or receive every day. It is the same to my son Arthur. Only Amy still using her phone regularly.

New carrier's phone package was received with a new i-phone and two SIM cards. The new phone is required for the promotion while two new SIM card are for Amy's and Arthurs current use phones. SIM cards are like a door keys for i-phones. It is my duty to take the package to a local store for the new carrier. First, I must admit that I am an illiterate of i-phone and I can only use certain limited function of the i-phone not changing SIM or activate a new phone. A staff on the store helped me to transfer our lines from the old carrier to his company on a small hand held notebook computer. First, he settled my new phone and said ready. Second he did some typing on his notebook and marked on two SIM cards with Amy's and Arthur's accordingly. It took one and half hours with an authorization number checked with Michelle in Austin.

Amy switched her new SIM card on her phone successfully while I was waiting for Arthur's wake up, I thought that I should try my new phone. The new phone guided me to connect to my home WiFi and I understood. I must connect my new i-phone to our wireless WiFi at home. However, I input an old WiFi password onto the new phone several times and not working. Arthur changed his new SIM card to his phone and was not working either. He told me that there was no SIM card in my new phone; therefore, I went back to the store for help again.

Another clerk tried to help me again. She was not sure if there was a SIM card on my new phone. She asked me if I had the box. It was not a friendly conversation and I was wondering the reasons of such service. My tennis body advised me that those clerks were commission base employees like my insurance agent business. She checked on my phone number and there was a note that she couldn't sell me a new SIM card and I got furious. An 1-800 number clerk came in to help and advised the local clerk what to do with me. Finally, I asked her to remove Arthur's new SIM card to my new phone. I promised Arthur to deliver to his store.

I called that 1-800 number for help again at home. The new 1-800 clerk also spoke to Michelle in Austin to understand better. It was about two hours conversation because I needed to provide many numbers such as IMEI for her to determine a new SIM on my old i-phone because we were not sure why Arthur's new SIM card was not working on his Samsung. Michelle called back and confirmed that the SIM card was a built in on my new phone and a phone could take additional SIM card like we went out to a foreign country. I lost my sleep and after Arthur came home after the midnight. He was busy to look for a charger for his new Samsung phone. He removed his new SIM card from my new phone to a new Samsung phone. It was working and so was my new phone. I believed the second 1-800 clerk unlocked my new phone. I could call Arthur on his new phone.

琳兒來話，要我更換電話公司曰，可節省一些錢，這是我所樂見，舊公司十四年來都是一價，一月90美金三線，我已經容忍多年，自從我離群索居，已經沒有朋友電話來，電話機僅使用於網球通知，元兒也是無友，手機僅為緊急用，愛美打電話，所以她熟悉智慧型手機，可以操作順利，新契約是三線加入琳兒新契約，每月是70美金，還有一支新手機，很快手機和兩新目卡寄到，我開始準備更換。

我帶新舊手機到新公司門市部，職員問明理由，就開始處理，我的電腦手機知識有限，光是密碼都是一問三不知，職員是業務性質，像賣保險單一樣，論件計酬，先一支一支解決，他在他的收提筆記電腦，幫我和舊公司解除契約，我仍能保留原來電話號碼，兩張新目卡是給愛美和元兒手機用。

回家後，愛美馬上自行安裝新目卡，電話馬上通，元兒正在睡覺，他是上夜班，我就開始打開我的新手機，手機要我連上家中無線網路，我找到一張表，有密碼資料，結果三次都不對，我以為是我老眼昏花，打字在小手機銀幕有誤，元兒起來吃飯，準備上班，我給他新目卡，順便請他看看我的問題，他馬上換上他手機，但也不通，他開始無耐，又說我手機無新目卡，當然不能通，新目卡像是門卡，登堂入室之用，於是我需要再回門市部，我保證將他手機，專程送到他超市，都在附近三哩車程。

門市職員仍舊無法解決我的問題，而且也推辭這個不是那個不是，我也開始戰鬥，他們讓我打電話給800總機，總機聽完我訴苦後，和一位職員交待處理方法，就是要賣我一新的新目卡，10美金，但我需要打800總機，那就是無法在店裏解決，於是我需要當機立斷，請他幫我換元兒新新目卡，到我新手機上，結果新手機可以使用，是元兒之電話號碼，我很是不滿意這家公司職員之態度，70美金一個月，一年市840美金，10年是8400美金，這位年輕人講話很衝，引起我的怒火三丈。我送手機到元兒店，他也很不高興，直問我他的舊手機安在？我說在車上，外面停車場溫度超過華氏100度。

回家後，我用愛美手機打給新公司總機幫忙，她很耐心聽我描述，她也電話連絡琳兒，最後結論是，我讓元兒使用我的新手機，我再買一新目卡，安裝到我的舊手機，我仍舊使用舊手機，因為這些手機都是蘋果，元兒手機是韓國三興牌，我們誤以為新公司只能用在蘋果型手機，這是無知，門市部和總機是內行，應該指正我。當日已達下午四點十五，總機曰需解釋給琳兒，再回我話，我已精疲力盡，晚上琳兒電話來曰，新手機已廠裝新目卡，門市部人不應裝蒜，要看寄來包裹外盒，我說要放棄更換，琳兒不悅但她是美國名校高材，公司高幹，僅曰要我自行取消更換，我想到越來越複雜，整夜都不能入寐。

半夜，元兒回家，正在研究如何拆卸新手機，他的新目卡，他想的和我相似，約是半夜兩點半，我又起床，他正好在餐廳，正在尋找三興插電，我給他我的三興插電，插上幾分鐘，他要我搭電話給他，我的新手機，總機小姐已經解除鎖鏈，我手機通，他的新手機也通，如此是一日之折磨。

The headline on the news in the United States everyday is to expose that Trump is ridiculous and absurd. Trump is no longer the President, yet his news coverage is far more than President Biden and more interesting simply because of his ignorance  and stupidity. Recently, I learn that he and his children are out of his News media venture board because that there is an issue the a court wants to have a deposition of that Media company's board members. He always try to avoid the deposition under his lawyers' advice. There is another illegal activity involving this news venture of his about a merger that the detail is not fully described yet. Why he needs to have a news media platform? It is because all media companies can not afford his lies without the liability; therefore, Twitter kits him out for instance and many others.

Congress investigation of the January 6 riot of him is holding two more public hearings this week, one is about his relation with the arms rioters. The second one on Thursday's prime time is scheduled. Trump is under RICO style treatment for his breaking the law.

There are at least two investigation that he is facing simultaneously, first one is a grand jury investigation at Fulton County District Attorney Office about his famous telephone call to beg one more vote than Biden in Georgia. The third one is a civil suit deposition from the New York State Attorney General Office about his cheating of appraisal value of his real estate value. His Trump Corp. gets a higher appraisal value to apply loans from banks while files less value to pay less or no tax on the State's tax obligation. I read that the judge fine his tax firm $10,000 daily for the contempt, delaying to turn over the document. He and two of his children must appear under oath for deposition. They are fighting to avoid such deposition. You can not lie under oath or you go to jail and that is why he always receives legal advice to avoid deposition under oath in any cost. I can't say that he is stupid all the time, he breaks the law, pays the layers and accountants to fight the law and raises political campaign funds from his followers to pay his legal fight cost under the name of MAGA, Make America Great Again. IRS has limited fund to investigate all his misdeed and furthermore, IRS director is his appointee.

I am glad that I do learn something about the American Rule of Law, the logic of the American laws. I am always love to learn even though I don't like to learn the science and the math drill and yet I like to know and make my own decision. I enjoy to express my opinion and I come out right.

下週二，七月十二日，國會川普內亂聽證會，將舉行第七次公開聽證會，這次聽證會是在證明川普如合唆使暴民攻入國會，企圖阻止國會認證全國選舉人票之形式，然後中斷和平交接傳統，川普甚至在幾州，自選選舉人，取代州政府核定之代表，川普之荒謬。這次聽證會，講到川普如何煽動結集，這些種族岐視宗教狂徒等暴民，有很多人提供詳情，前六次聽證會，非常精彩，現在幾乎所有電視台，和大報紙都在網路，實況轉播。

川普狡詐，騙銀行曰其房地產值錢，取得待款，現在紐約州在辦他和他的公司，最近就要宣誓下口供，而且包括他的長子長女，因為他們都是公司大股東，詐騙銀行以高價，又詐騙紐約州以低價，避免高稅，十億萬富翁，却20年無所得稅，真是荒謬。

經過17個月調查，喬治亞州佛登郡檢查官，開始發傳單給七名川普親信，傳到該郡大審團作證，其中有一位是南卡洛來納州聯邦參議員，牽涉到非法影響州府官員作票，當然最大案是川普給州務卿的軟硬兼施，電話錄音，川普真是怒集攻心，荒謬絕倫。

許多人因為工作，加入白宮，忍氣吞聲，大部分配合川普，坐視川普違法亂紀，但到絕境將涉及自身安全，是否為川普共謀，則開始抽身自保，州級官員知道犯法，就一口婉拒，因為算票是州官親字執行，是有法律責任，川普習慣黑幫老大，唆使人犯罪，所以現在美國法律以飭治黑社會腐敗法來治他。

有記者問他是否讀聖經，他說不出所以然，不像彭斯，可以熟背聖經，連彭斯之律師在聽證會，回答晨禱些甚麼？都可以引經據典，深入簡出曰，懇求上帝賜與勇氣，川普真是不學無術，但基都徒教條派，却推崇他，他的不法，道德淪落，都不是基都精神，但却受基都教支持，非常荒謬。

川普種族岐視，所以白人死硬派支持，美國社會中，白人優越感者是有，這些人和宗教徒默合排他，還有一些富人，不願交高稅，這一群組約佔美國民意選票之一半，川普在此中混吃混喝一輩，終於需要面對法律制裁，當然，美國法律或許治不了他，但此非聲敗名裂乎？甚至影響到他的生意。

My summer day in Houston is quite simple yet very interesting. There is a regular hear way in South Texas that I must face it, there is a 24 hours of my life every day while I must arrange to pass, and there is also a three meal to deal with every day.

First, I must be proud of myself to live up this long with a manageable health, financial condition, and a precious frugal habit. I do have a chronicle diabetes yet it is manageable that I only take drugs to control my blood sugar. I work and save all my life to accumulate enough money to live to my end. Luckily that I live in the United States and I am under both coverages of the social security benefit and the Medicare. It is very easy to understand and the U.S. Government has such protection for me on its policy.

I get up early before the day break because that I sleep early at night. I have a 7:30 am tennis to meet. It is about 80 degree F or 30 degree C. I am one of players to promote this daily tennis. Most of the time we have enough players to make two double courts occupied and three double courts occupied during the weekend. If there is an odd number of players, I volunteer to walk on the grass field. We do have a big grass field by the swimming pool that reminds me of the three London  Royal Parks and English Rivers and Canals. I feel that I am so lucky.

The outside temperature is raising from 80 degree to 90 degree at 10 am and usually I quit tennis at or before 9 am. It is because that I am exhausted. I then go to my second class swimming. There is a standard size of the Olympic size pool in my own subdivision. The subdivision homeowner association is very proud of it maintenance. Usually I would take an hour of swim along the comfortable pol until the end of September. the swimming has reminded me Londoners swim on a lake at the Hyde Park all year long. I am afraid of the cold; therefore, I quit in October.

After I come home that I have done my hard task in a day. I have a very relaxing day ahead of me. I can easily take two one and half hours nap, I can watch programs on the You tube, and I can manage my cooking for my dinner. It is very simple that Amy would prepare the material and I just cook one dish. To fight the inflation, I purchase the weekly sale items of steaks.

炙熱夏日在德州南部休士頓，確實是人生一大考驗，我在台灣生活二十七年， 習慣這種熱浪襲人，幸好美國冷氣空調普遍，休市仍舊可適居六百萬人，讓我描述一下，我如何安排每日生活。

過午夜，室外氣溫可以降到華氏80度，就是攝氏30度，我們開始集合在網球場，開始打網球，現在我們經常有12位球友，可以有三場雙打，這時候氣溫已經是82度華氏，我們一組七點半開始，另外一組約八點前後來到球場，前組月九點不到，開始有人離去，約是十點，場地已經太熱，而且球友也精疲力竭，現在太熱，有時仍需和其他同好分配球場使用時間。

有時候先來五人，於是我就堅持轉向草皮散步，因為大家都是開車前來，閒坐等待不智，而我又喜歡散步於草場，這俱樂部有一大操場，約有三座足球場，就在游泳池旁，只有我一人使用，一般居民沒有如此執著，因為我從小就有散步草皮習慣，旅行倫敦，大部分是散步於三座皇家公園，若是倫敦以外城市，則是散步運河旁徑，也是草原碧綠。

我也是先行離去一組，然後我回自己社區游泳池，開始我的晨泳，水溫宜人，游者甚渺，我開始我的蛙泳五圈，現在增加到十圈，蛙泳像是坐禪一般，只重吸吐氣，眼觀前四肢蹭蹬前進。老身經過清晨網球游泳兩節，已經十分充實，回家後已需兩次午覺。

這時候室外氣溫，已經開始華氏90度以上，日正當中，中午過後，休市已經是華氏九十許，進逼一百度，經常超過一百，我只能躲在室內，我們為省電，空調在81度，到處電風扇幫助，連老貓罔腰，都知道留在樓下，我的書房在二樓，看網路也強於出外活動。

很快，一年已經過了一半，七月已是仲夏，休市可以炙熱到十月中，於是我開始出外郵輪旅行，如此年復一年。休市有炙熱夏日，冬季也有酷寒日，因為是北極加拿大冷流，直接南下，沒有台灣的海洋隔寒，稍有不同，當然，空調冷熱一體。

It is the best show so far on the television not only life broadcasting but also on the late shows. It shows how the rule of law works in the United States. The media overall describe that the hearing is targeting Trump as a mafia RICO, racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organization. Trump blames his Republican friends in the House do not come out to defend him. I learn the American way of lesson that when you break he law and is caught, you have few friends left. I watch the hearing and talk shows all the time and I see very weak of Trump's defense.

Trump has enjoyed very much to be the U.S. President. He knows all the privilege and thinks that no body can touch him. He is above the law; therefore, he has the desire to be re-elected for the second term. It is much easier for him to live as a President that just a common citizen. He doesn't trust the voting system yet he still participates. He can't take a loss as a result. When he lost, he refuses to concede. He refused to vacate the White House until some one told him that he would be forced to leave. He claims 2020 election is stolen from him. He says that he wins in a land slide before 10:00 pm that night. He raises 250 millions from his supporters to fight for him and MAGA, make American Great Again.

250 million dollars is a big number and I also believe the big number like insurance business. We are witness the fall of Trump, the falling of Russia's Putin, and China's Xi. They all want to be emperors, the sweet taste of powers. They don't realize that it isn't the old time. Trump is going to jail to serve his term to break the law.
