Taiwan is appeared to be a colony of ROC/Carlos Pueblo

Taiwan is appeared to be a colony of ROC/Carlos Pueblo

There has been debates of Taiwan's national status for years, since 1945 or 1949. I read most of the newspaper in the world with brief explanation of the situation that Taiwan is claimed by China yet is a democratic ruled nation. Inside Taiwan, there are debates in political arena everywhere to get the name straight, currently the consensus is that Taiwan is an independent country with the name of ROC, the Republic of China. I don't like it and I shall explain the reason. I have my conclusion that is much easier to explain, Taiwan is appeared to be a colony of the ROC and nothing to do with the current day China in Beijing.

When the War ended in 1945, Japan was defeated by he U.S. force in Asia and the U.S. government had her hands full of issues as the new world's leader. Truman gave an order to Chiang Kai-sek to take the custodian of Taiwan like many other colonies of the defeated Japan or Germany. Chiang's ROC was kicked out by the Communist's force leaded by Mao Tse-tung, current day PRC, the People's Republic of China in 1949. Chiang and his son had ruled Taiwan in the name of ROC until 1989. Taiwanese were allowed to elect their National President and a full congress in 1996 under a military threat from the PRC and fortunately, Clinton sent Carrier Independent through the Formosan Straight to solve the crisis. Since then, Taiwan has held several national elections and until 2016, a native political party has been fully in control of the nation called the ROC. Taiwanese are still not free to address themselves as Taiwan, nothing to do with that China. I don't believe Chinese respect Taiwanese national elections as a self-determination.

Every political concerned people always guesses if Taiwanese change their nation's name to Taiwan instead of keeping the ROC. What will be the reaction from Chinese regime in Beijing? To invade Taiwan immediately? or keep the status quo, there is only one China and the other China in Taiwan is not a nation but Chinese Taipei, simply a name only. There are people in Taiwan have attempted to replace the ROC Constitution which has been the basic law to rule Taiwan in vain due to the military threat from China. Indeed, that Constitution was an old Chinese edition and still claimed as the legitimate ruler of China. Therefore, I don't want to confuse you further more. Taiwan is a nation and also appeared to be a colony of ROC. Without Taiwan, there is no ROC at all.
