1. To a shogi that could blow away, laugh if you may. I’m betting my life to that piece. I was born at 808 Bridge, Naniwa. Even the moon knows my stubbornness.2. To the heart that is thinking this move, and that…….This year went by in this run down apartment, my wife Hoharu persevered without complaining, is pitiful to her smile.3. Since I must go out tomorrow for Tokyo. I must win whatever it takes. at the Tsutenkaku where the sky is aflame, my fight also burns.王 將西條八十 作詩船村徹 作曲 谷真酉美歌 昭和 36 年(1960)1. 象棋舉子落步如飛，任君嘲笑，俺正懸命賭上此局。俺出身浪花節八百八橋，明月故知俺頑固。2. 絞盡腦汁為求下步，思潮冲擊胸岸，今年又在此破舊長屋渡過。拙荊小春含辛茹苦，何忍睹其笑顏。3. 明日出征東京府，無論如何，師出必勝。通天閣上空星月如烈火，俺之鬪志也正燃燒中。
