Re-open the swimming pool in the subdivision center/Carlos Pueblo
Yesterday afternoon was the first day to re-open the swimming pool in the subdivision in thins summer. There are 4 facilities in the community, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a basket ball court converted by a tennis court, and a playground for children. I have received an entrance card this year to use the tennis court and planned to swim in the summer from now own. I briefly entered swimming in 1996 due to the health reason and was interrupted due to some unknown reasons soon after. The swimming experience has given me such a good memory in my childhood era.
In my recollection, I was accompanied with my eldest sister Mary and her middle school classmate to a trip to a hot spring resort sponsored by my dad's company one winter. I first saw an small outside hot spring pool and made up my mind to learn how to swim. Later at my first grade, I was brought to a small creek by a rice liquor factory at my hometown Puli in the central part of Taiwan. I did learn some basic to be afloat. Then, my dad was transferred to another cane sugar factory on the central southwest part of Taiwan. There was a swimming pool facility inside the company's employee living complex. My dad formally asked his colleague, an young engineer, to teach me how to swim properly. I therefore can swim thereafter like later on pick up tennis. I can go to swim any times travelling around the world, lovely beaches, pools in the hotel, and the open deck of the cruise, etc.
I have my both cataract eyes procedure done and I can see in perfect vision ever in my life and I think that I can enjoy much more than ever before. Most of our neighbors have pools on their back yard; therefore, I don't see very many residents to take advantage of the facility; however, I still need to find a regular swimming companion because that there is no life guard in the facility this year in order to save some money for the homeowner association. It will be nice for me to add on swimming in my daily routine to avoid some summer heat way in Houston, Texas.
