The politic in Taiwan/Carlos Pueblo

The politic in Taiwan/Carlos Pueblo

The politic affairs in Taiwan is very interesting to me because that I have been
followed the modern history of Taiwan ever since childhood. Recently, I follow
the video posted on YouTube everyday like my son Arthur’s computer games
hobby. I also follow Donald Trump and Hsi Chin-ping of China as well. Taiwan
has been out of Chinese rule only since 2016 and basically as an infant of a
true democracy. People are impatient and expect too much for President Tsai’s
administration and I like to point it out.

Taiwanese population have been accustomed to the authoritarian regime and
formed an habit other than the rule and law. Taiwanese are the defacto Chinese
prefer special favors from each other and ignore the law. As a matter of fact,
there are insufficient of laws to reach an effective administrative machine on
every level of government. The previous rulers ignored the need to establish
a system and the legislative part of the government never actually function their
duty; therefore, it is very confusing nowadays after the big power change of 2016.
I understand that Taiwanese are not happy with it; however, the capital city of
Taipei does make some improvement and march to a new direction.

Mayor Ko Wen-jer of the capital city of Taipei, a surgeon and professor of Medicine
at Taiwan University Medical School does make a difference of his 3 ½ years tenure
in the city.  He is a role model of Taiwan Politic. His slogan is a small issue of the citizen
should be a grand issue of the government; accumulate small success will create huge
achievement for the government. I would say that he is a typical pragmatic politician.
Don’t try to make a short cut by criticizing him and attempt to get an even treatment
from the voters. Must learn his standard operation procedure in managing the city
as well as governing a nation.

I must encourage President Tsai to hang on there to build a stronger National
Defense against China. Keep on the restoration schedule one day at a time. Taiwanese
voters will see the effort like the citizen of Taipei witness Ko for his achievement.
