A politician and the rule of law/Carlos Pueblo

A politician can make a difference in administration without a sufficient set up

of the rule of law, i.e. Taiwan has begun the western democracy in 1996 and

tried very hard to make it, yet still makes an excuse of the lack of sufficient laws

to make the need of such a dynamic nation of 23 million. Until today, we are

witness a change of such bottle neck with a single politician, Ko Wen-jer, the

Mayor of the Capital City of Taipei. In three and half years as the Mayor, he

Does make a difference. On the other hand and other world on the other side of

the Pacific Ocean, we see Donald Trump in an established Republic, the U.S. which

has been in ever since 1776 with almost perfect political system. He, a single

person, still can abuse his power as a national leader and none of the law can

discipline him effectively.

Dr. Ko, he was a professor of medicine before his political venture, utilizes

his talent, 157 IQ index, and workaholic himself starts his day at 6:30 a.m. and

takes a bus to work daily. He has his daily meeting and briefing at 7:30 a.m. at

his mayoral meeting room with his staff and then a full schedule lasts till or after

10 p.m. He works with his cabinet bureau chiefs and staff experts to analyze the

small issue as well as large issue and follow the existing law or those without

clearly regulation defined be consulted with the central government. He does

make some achievement which are touched by his voters as well as the entire

nation. Therefore, he is very popular and determined to be re-elected and

encouraged to run for the national President position in 2020 before his 2^nd

term ends because Taiwanese can’t wait no longer.

Donald Trump is an embarrassment of the U.S. politic or a disaster of this great

Nation. Even though various laws do exist; however, the law has a limit to a

National President of his mischief. The Congress and the Law are both on his side

; therefore, the rule of law only applies to those who obeys it like the morality

Is only with a value to those who respect it.

I enjoy watching YouTube everyday on the news about Ko and getting tired of

watching Trump whom is very stressful to watch. I don’t really know of the fact

that Trump can make a different of my life; however, I must strike my point that

even in Taiwan far behind the experience of the rule of law than in the U.S. still

attracts me in political development as my hobby.
