A short visit to a Taiwan’s Consul General in Houston/Carlos Pueblo

A short visit to a Taiwan’s Consul General in Houston/Carlos Pueblo

Yesterday, I took a bus to 11 Greenway Plaza Taiwan’s Consulate General Office
to have my affidavit notarized and ran into the young Consul General Chen and
had had a brief visit at his office after my filing with my application. I authorize
my younger brother at Huwei, Taiwan to settle an asset dispute among our siblings
after our Mother’s death in 2013. The official title of Chen is a Director General
while his office is Taipei Economic and Cultural Office which suits me fine, yet the
function of his office is really a Consulate General to represent the authority of the
Nation of Taiwan.

I have met him twice before, one at an award presentation of a famous writer at
our alumni gathering and the other one at a symposium of Taiwan, U.S., and China
triangular relationship sponsored by the University of St. Thomas and his Office.
He is a handsome young diplomat and I am very impressed. I used to visit his Office
back to the late 80’s and demonstrated on the front of 11 Greenway plaza for the
injustice KMT regime in Taiwan.

I mentioned that I had had visited two Caribbean Embassies of Taiwan, Belize and
St. Christopher and Nevis during my cruises. I visit Germany and Japan quite often
and I must formally visit those two famous Ambassadors both named Hsieh in the
near future.
