Berlin stands up again/Carlos Pueblo

After a brief visit of Berlin, Germany, I search some information on

the internet in order to understand the German Nation. Places such

as Berlin Mitte. Alexanderplatz, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz

, and the Uter den Linden Blvd., etc. all appeared in ruin on You Tube

archives. Now, almost all the famous historical building have been

rebuilt according to the original glory and Berlin stands up again, Germany

is born again. I admire very much of the effort of refugee settlement by

Germany under the premier Angela Merkel leadership via Europe Union.

It is a meaningful life, noble and humanity and few of the world nations

are able to reach this level.

I watched the movie picture of the ruined, women picked up potato from

the ruined farm surrounding the Victory Column current day the Tiergarten

Park. I also read about the old glory of the Kingdom of Prussia and the Germany

Empire. The Column was erected to celebrate a victory to France captured

Louis Napoleon in 1871, before that two major victory to neighboring empires,

Denmark’s Viking Empire in 1860 and Vienna’s Austria-Hungary Empire in 1864.

I have found that Germany has been a major player nation ever since the fourth

Century from making the fall of Western Roman Empire, Middle Age, Holly Roman

Empire, and Industrial Revolution and don’t mention the two world wars which

severely ruin the nation; however Germany comes back again and Berlin is the

capital of this nation.

After WWII, many nations have received US Aid to rebuilt their nations; however,

only a few nations come out alright and Germany is one of them. Many leaders of

Germany have helped to organized the European Union in order to make peace in

Europe and compete with the rest of the world economic power. EU maintains

certain requirement of modern day civilization, such as public fund health insurance,

democratic system, and humanity toward refugee. EU sympathize with the weak and

it is a progressive idea that I like. Germany has begun involving helping Greek financial

crisis, Middle Eastern refugee, and even warns Russian Putin via EU with a threat of

prosecution of war criminal for his inhumane behavior in Ukraine and Syria and I think

that Putin takes note. I am very impressed of Germany and Berlin.
