The U.S. economic sanction to China/Carlos Pueblo

The U.S. economic sanction to China/Carlos Pueblo

The U.S. economic sanction to China is a big deal to both China and the U.S. Chinese economic growth is collapsing while the inflation 2022 is a headache to the U.S. Chinese Premier Li emphasizes the economic growth first and Covic-19 fighting second while President Biden is considering to relax some tariff posted by his predecessor Trump. It is necessary to post 25% tariff on Chinese goods export to the U.S. because Beijing China inhumane behavior toward Eastern Turkistan, Chinese name Xin Chiang means new territory and break the mutual agreement between China and the United Kingdom about Hong Kong. The most important reason of the sanction is the initiation of Wuhan Corona Virus Pandemic, the Covic-19 named after Chinese protest of the local city name.

Instead of a military action against China like the one in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900, Biden continues Trump tariff toward China and some severe limit on the intellectual products made in China because Chinese illegal copying, manufacturing, and marketing, etc. Biden also threatens additional sanction if China help Russian and goods to invade Ukraine. I think that is better than a physical war.

In addition to the economic sanction, the U.S. also tell China to back off the claim that both the South China Sea and the Formosa Straight are Chinese territory. The U.S. disagree Chinese claim that Taiwan is a part of China in case of Chinese invasion of Taiwan, the U.S. will come to help Taiwanese defense like Russian invade Ukraine. Even Japan is willing to help Taiwan.

There is a talking in Taiwan that the U.S. is expecting the collapse of both current regimes in Moscow and Beijing due to the war in Ukraine and the economic collapse in China. Both authoritarian regime post a threat of the U.S. national security and the world peace.
