 What didn't Raimondo say to China?/Carlos Pueblo

The U.S. Commerce Secretary Madame Gina Raimondo visited China four days and back last week. She did discuss the opportunity for the commerce development between two nations, yet what didn't she say to China? about why the U.S. would not lift the tariff and economic sanctions? The tariff posted has forced the closure of Chinese factory and Chinese exports have been dropped. People have lost their jobs and foreign capitals escaped. The U.S. has started several sources of imports and also encourage the made in U.S. target in the future. Of course, Chinese commerce administers and even the Premier do not dare to ask her why the U.S. impose 25% tariff. 

Trump took the credit of such 25% increase of impost as his credit. He did have a negotiation and a deal was signed basically force China to purchase more from the U.S. and China couldn't fulfill for such demand to lower the U.S. trade in balance. Biden administration keeps on such tariff and add more economic sanction on computer chips exports to China. She told Chinese that we would sell you only regular chips and not advanced chips for military use to endanger the U.S. National Security.

I personally believe that the U.S. economic sanctions to China is an answer to the Covic 19 disaster which has damaged the whole world for the pass three years. China has denied its originally from Wuhan Bio-weaponry laboratory leaks and the rest of the world agree to keep mumble to avoid a war against China. The U.S. knows that China can't afford to compensate the loss amount from the world. The whole world are aware, i.e. the World Health Organization has allowed Taiwan to be an observer of WHO for the first time in history even under Chinese strong protest.

The U.S. and many other nations have lost huge of their investment in Hong Kong after China broke the agreement with the United Kingdom when the U.K. yielded H.K. to China in 1997 to maintain the status quo for 50 years. The economic sanction is more efficient than to a real war which we have been keeping away for years.

美國商務部長雷夢多女士，剛訪問中國回美，就受到輿論界專訪，十分熱鬧，她是繼國務卿布林肯先生，財政部長葉倫女士，全球暖化特使前國務卿凱利訪問中國後，第四位內閣官員長官，訪問這正與美國經濟戰之國度，這次美國小心應付中國無禮外交儀禮手段，接機和飲食起居等，均由美國駐北京大使館處理，避免讓中國失禮丟臉。

雷夢多之目標在探討如何改善，美國和中國間之經濟戰，訪問記者主持人和部長，均未提到關鍵之關稅，這是中國經濟崩潰主因之一，美國早已佈署完備，從其他國家進口，再加上通貨膨漲同時發生在全球，中國則不然，外資工廠撤退，國民失業，經濟消條等，這些美國高官訪問中國，是在了解準備避免中國一旦瓦解崩潰，美日韓等國需要如何應付，如難民問題等。

部長強調光講一大堆無益，要看如何執行，如何做，兩國間貿易額高達八千億美金，美國仍舊販賣中國低端晶片，但高端晶片則全球禁止出售中國，防止中國用之於軍事用途，影響美國國家安全。

部長提到美國商界主管，顧慮到投資中國之安全，認為中國不適於外國投資，舉出幾條中國法律，危害到外國人在中國之生命安全，這是甚為嚴厲之指控，部長在上海記者會也講，在美國也強調，中國官方和官媒等均啞口無辯，不再強調美帝國干涉中國內政。

我期待中國邀請美國國防部奧斯汀部長訪問中國，奧斯汀部長只要求和中國國防部長熱線，恢復電話，中國軍頭或習主席不敢面對我們這位身經百戰之退休戰將？奧斯汀不過是要規勸中國不要輕舉妄動，挑釁台灣海峽。

The world population has been expanded for generation and now it becomes all kinds of issues, such as the pollutions, global warming and cooling, food shortage, etc. You can feel the pressure because the world space is limited while the population goes to a different direction. I like to take my family as an example to start my argument.

My parents had seven children while my dad was barely a salary worker while my mom was a home maker. We had barely enough food on the table every food was in ration. My mom always reminds me not to get marry unless I was ready to provide the new family a good life to live. I got my first child  two and a half years after my marriage and a second child two years after the first. I have lived in the best managed nation in the world and I have taken advantage of this opportunity to be prevail. I believe that I have less stress than my dad and out live him more than 10 years without any of his lack of money stress. 

It is a basic calculation 2 versus 7 children. Increasing world population will have more demand of foods and other necessity. It will create more pollution, air and water. No matter how much progress the current technology can be achieved. Birth control is a fundamental theory to control all issues.

The U.S. is a well managed nation in birth control; therefore, its birth rate is in minimum; however, the national population is always increased rapidly because immigrants are coming faster than the nation can manage it. Immigrants to meet the workers demands. No matter how you do think of the immigration, immigrants do help to build the U.S. and make the nation prosperous. From the individual point of consideration, we must think ourselves first to plan our family in order to be successful.

世界環境問題，例如全球暖化，夏天如此炙熱，空氣污染，水源污染，糧食不足等等，都和世界人口急速增加有關，先進文明世界，早就計劃生育，我在大學時代，台灣政府推廣計劃生育，我非常同意，先父母生育七子女，一生做牛做馬，毫無享受，培養七子女成長，比起一些小家庭生活，我們是困苦許多，所以我結婚後，十分在意子女人數，絕對不讓子女無謂吃苦，當然我說的是美國，美國提供最理想之生活環境，讓世界羨慕，許多人都想移民美國，在美國定居。我的網球伴告知，中國人排隊美國綠卡要17年，亞洲印度人則需一百年以上，我已經無暇注意台灣人需等候多少年？

台灣國家民主化27年，1945－1996，加上有日本近代化統治50年，1895－1945，加上台灣人勤奮上進，奠定台灣經濟發展，加上蔣家統治51年，1945－1996，堅決反共抗俄，維護台灣和平安定，所以家兄為五位兄弟姊妹和先母辦理美國永久居留權，有兩家庭選擇居留台灣，因為彼等職業關係，選擇在台灣退休，因為他們在台灣已有基礎，無需來美赤手空拳打天下，我觀察世界先進國家國民，均仔細衡量移民美國之得失，我認識一位鄰居日本家庭，有機會在美國生育，而選擇提早返日生產，這是日本國民對日本之自信。

世界上許多國家之國民，無法在本國生活，只好想辦法移民美國，美國有移民局，有移民法執行移民政策，有些美國人厭惡移民，像川普之流，主張取消在美國出生者入籍之權利，美國是一工業農業極端發達之國家，找不到人來工作就業，美國生育率低，完全生育計劃，所以無移民無法完全國家經濟，民主黨執政者考慮到此危機，想圖謀解決，但共和黨人反對，很奇怪共和黨總統雷根，是最近一次簽署移民特赦令者。

1975年美國許可我入境求學，迄今滿48年，我計劃生育擁有兩子女，包括我在內，三家庭都繳聯邦所得稅，當然要感激這難得之移民美國機會。

Our cruise ship sailed at night from Bar Harbor, Maine to Halifax, Nova Scotia. I know that is similar to going to my own kitchen every day because that I have been to disembark at this harbor almost every time on this itinerary; however, it is a very nice to walk along the harbor and once in a while I may run into a naval drill like a week before. I did see the mighty air carrier Gerald Ford yet they finished and gone. Did I mention that I also witness British Queen Elezerbeth II on her maiden voyage to Halifax Bay one year on my cruise?

The city has provided an excellent pedestrian path from the cruise dock to another end at a hotel with a casino. I have been familiar to this route and always stay with the walk for my day at Halifax. You can also visit the hilly downtown and view the beautiful Canadian city. I always think that I always come back to visit the city and am happy to finish my walk.

This is an area in the north America attracted tourists. I regret that I haven't had the opportunity to visit this area by a vehicle especially during the fall or in the spring. I took it back of my statement, I once did drive from Quebec City across New England in the early spring. We were on our trip from Boston to Niagara Falls, Toro

nto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and back to Boston. Of course, my regret is is not including the northeast east Canadian Provinces. The only regret is the Prince Edward Province.

 二度重返加拿大哈里法克斯港2022／莊峻華

結束緬因州棒港，郵輪夜航，清晨重返加拿大哈里法克斯港，這是馳名之加拿大東北三省之一，新蘇格蘭省，郵輪必停靠之處，再來就是新布朗西維克省之聖約翰港，第三省是愛德華太子省，鮮能過境，至於魁北克港則是另一航線，也非常暢銷加拿大旅程之一，我也有機會在魁北克船上過夜，也都是重覆同一路線旅行。

北大西洋公約國之海軍演習，已經結束，上週我提過也親睹福特號航空母艦，幾年前英國伊莉莎白二世號航母，也在哈里法克斯灣處女行，讓我遇見，這海灣很平靜，據上週我舊日鄰居念華之描述，她們搭乘當地渡船，可以更靠近福特號，我甚遺憾未身逢其境，只要下次有機會。

我還是沿海灣步行徑，觀賞海灣和海岸商店，我和一般遊客不同，就是不購物，節約旅行，精打細算，旅行購物，增加行李重量，就是在家裡，我也甚少出外購物，幾十年如一轍。

約是中午過後，我就回船午飯，船上也有一些活動，當然賭場和商店關閉，因為不與當地稅務糾纏不清。

Our subdivision swimming pool is a well maintain Olympic side facility regularly open from April 1 and close on October 1 every year. In recent years, I have developed a habit to swim after tennis every morning and fully utilized such facility. I like to do 20 laps each time about 4 kilometers which would help me to take a couple of naps during a day and makes me have a quality sleep almost every night. I feel that I am very fortunate to have this pool in my last stage of my limited life.

I learned how to swim when I was at 8 years old at a small mountain town at the center part of Taiwan, Puli. The elementary school arranged a 6 grader as a leader to walk us back to home after school. That tall handsome boy took me to learn how to swim at a small creek by a liquor factory. The water quality was excellent back to that time and I was very impressed. Later in my life after leaving Puli, I had went back to that town and attempted several times to locate such creek in vain. The township needed the space and put a cover on the surface of the creek. Before we moved out of the town, my dad's company converted an old sugar massecuite pool, the left over of un-crystallized sugar pulp, to be a swimming pool with bamboo bottom. I did see my dad's swimming once at that pool with a former swim suite which was a gift from a Japanese friend when he couldn't bring back to Japan after the War.

My dad did ask his engineer colleague, Mr. Tzu Wan Fu, to teach and improve my skill to swim. I still remember this gentleman, a young graduate from the current day Cheng Kung University. He recommended me to follow him to swim in laps as much as we could.

As I noticed, swimming is like a meditation of respiration. You must practice in take the air and expel the air from your lungs like the lotus sit in Buddhism. I can't do well in lotus sit; yet I can swim 4 kilometers at one time and maybe more.
