Daughters from Northeast India/Carlos Pueblo

There is a part of the Great nation of India with their people look

like the neighboring China. This is the Northeast India right on the

handle bar of the Indian panhandle neighboring Himalaya to the north,

Burma to the east, Bangladesh to the south, and connected to the huge

pan of India subcontinent to the west. I have had at least three daughters

from two ships, Jade and Dawn and because of this, I get to know more

about this interesting part of the world. Kishori works at the casino as a

black Jack dealer and handles the crab table. Hulang and Nan are

both hostesses on board and both come to help at the O’Sheehan’s. They

all are like me puzzling why they look like Chinese yet can’t figure out

the reasons.

I first noticed Kishori on Jade’s Café and she wore a different kind of uniform

from the restaurant staff. She is suspicious that she may have Mongolian

blood and I kind of agree because this part of world has been developed for

millennium and I can see in and out of Mongolian in this area at least. She is a

good dealer for the casino and wins most of the time as I watch them playing.

She has been transferred to a sister ship Pearl after cross the Atlantic.

Hulang’s appearance is exactly liked a Chinese girl. She wrote down the 7

Sister states of this area, Assam, Arunachal, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram,

Tripura, and Nagaland. After India annexed Sikkim in 1974, Sikkim was added

to the 7 sister to form that handle. According to Google, there are two recorded

history in China about this area by Chang Chien of the Han Dynasty, Emperor

Wu Ti sent him to the west Turkestan area as an ambassador for years and after

his return and reported this civilized area. Another one was Hsun Chang of Tang

Dynasty. Emperor Tai Tsong sent him to India to get Buddhist Sutras. This is the

famous Monkey King novel. He had been to this area and made a report about it.

Hulang and I promise each other to do some more study of the history of this area.

Nan is also a hostess at the Italian La Cucina Restaurant on Deck 6 Mid-ship.

I have had 3 dinners at this restaurant with three of my daughters from Jade. They

are transferred to Dawn now. She is a faithful Christian and very good in Bible

Study. She has given me several lessons of the Bible, i.e. what’s the true meaning

of the story that one day Jesus is thirsty, the story of Job, and the story of Noah’s

Ark. The first story was an argument while the rest were my curiosity. She was

almost given up due to my stubbornness. She says that talking to me like talking

to a stone.

郵輪餐廳也有一些印度女職員，一般印度人面孔，容易辨識，

但有些來自印度東北七州，今曰八州，加上錫金，面孔則似中

國姑娘，膚色體材，一模一樣，我在寶玉號認位此地區愛女，

契香妮，服務賭塲，她猜測她有蒙古血統，現在她應在珍珠號

。第二位是胡蘭，威尼斯餐廳之帶位，我提起我之好奇，她在

紙條上，清楚寫下七州州名，我們互相鼓勵多了解此印度七姐

妹。第三位是寧蕾拉，是一深沉姑娘，耐心講解聖經，給我這

位頑石。

契香妮貌美，所以其21點賭桌，時有賭客，稱她是美女殺手，

一位中國賭客，搖頭嘆曰，她說幾乎賭者必輸，剛好我只來六

層賭塲，探望愛女群，這次上船，僅識兩愛女，其餘者均他調

抑或休假。

胡蘭在奧西罕餐廳認識，聞我興趣，寫下七姐妹州名，提起這

印度東北區，也有脫離印度之想法，畢竟七姐妹區域是印度邊

陲，自古為城邦王國，幾十年前，我看過一紀錄影片，介紹到

這一區域之居民，生活環境，和生活習慣，影片上強調，該區

居民與中國人之類似處，我仍有深刻印象。這七姐妹區，像是

提壺之把手，把整個印度三角壺提起，北連喜馬拉雅山，和西

藏為界，中印兩國1962年，在此一戰，據谷歌維基曰，漢之

張騫提起此區文明，唐之玄奘，到此取經，佛陀應出生在今日

之錫金王國。此區東接緬甸，英軍在此擋著日軍。南與孟加拉

國為界，西方面對印度本土，非常有趣。

我閒來無事，就在奧西罕餐廳，和來值勤之寧蕾拉抬槓聖經，

她是位虔誠之基督徒，不容許我之懷疑和放肆，於是耐心之解

釋新舊約，不一定期待我這老頑石之點頭，但確實提到與我談

聖經，有如對石頭講話，隔天我連忙道歉，後來又請她講舊約

上之約伯故事，和諾亞方舟之故事，我的聖經常識，全部是聲

聞覺，也是道聽途說，我說約伯死後，上帝已為這背叛之子民

，心疲力竭，聖經上不再出現，懲罰子民之故事，後人僅勉強

解釋，颱風水災等，為上帝之怒，上帝之行為。後來我有三次

在其服務之義大利拉庫其娜餐廳用餐，她非常親切。

Olivia San/Carlos Pueblo

The cruise ship set up a table at the waiting room to provide reservation

of restaurants before guests boarding. In charge person in hostess uniform

was Olivia San. My respectful greeting of her as a San, a Japanese language,

due to her ability to command such language. Her three years training on

board for serving Japanese customers is better than my 15 years on and off

studying of this language. I call her my Sensei, or teacher, even though she

is my adopted daughter. Confucian analects, I must be able to find teachers

among three person passing by me. I was glad to make up my absence of

Japanese classes while on board of the ship because that I did bring my text

book with me to continue my learning. She is very unique and as usual, very

attractive.

Her younger brother was a Ph.D. in chemistry from a famous Christian University

in the northern part of Taiwan, Chung Yuan Christian University of Science and

Technology. She was very pleased that I could quickly identified the university than

my fellow Taiwanese magician on board. Once I learn her language background,

I always attempt to impress her with my fondness of Japanese language and even

visit her at her home restaurant, Los Lobos on Deck 12 next to the Garden Café.

One day at the O’Sheehan’s, she told me an unpleasant matter occurred at the

restaurant. It was a sea day on the ocean and the restaurant was full. She was

struggled to seat everyone coming in at the front. She asked one solo lady guest

if she would share table with a blind couple. She refused flatly and was not willing

to negotiate and the husband of the couple was not helping at all. The matter went

up to her direct supervisor. She reminded me that she saw me helping this couple

and another blind couple to enter the Venetian’s for breakfast. I was very proud of

my good deed that morning to hold a hand of the wife with all five of us from Deck

8 Mid-ship elevator down to the Atrium and across Deck 7 to the rear of the ship

and down one more deck to the restaurant. All my daughters were witness such a

big project. Imelda, the Matrie D. was very appreciated. I was very proud of myself

when Olivia San said that she saw it. I quickly identified the woman involved because

we had had a brief conversation at the Cellar where I was writing my note in Kanji

and review my textbook. She is also my fellow Taiwanese who lives in Los Angeles

and is in travel agency business. We have had a different thought of cruise travelling

, i.e. my adopting daughters on board. She has some peculiar thought of girls working

on board. I am not surprised that incident occurred. Olivia San told me on the next

day, this Taiwanese woman wrote a complaint on a compliment card to the ship. I

offered my help to prove her as a good hostess and my daughter, she declined my

involvement.

波士頓候船時，郵輪在大廳擺設攤位，有位帶位制服者，主持攤

位，此小姐不為我熟悉，後來在七層船中奧西罕餐廳相識，奧莉

維雅樣，曾在亞洲服務三年，因業務需要，學習日文，因此日語

流利，益顯我日文之生硬，結結巴巴，於是我就拜她為師，造了

一句，請她許可我認養為愛女，她亦欣然答應，子曰三人行，必

有我師焉，拜愛女為師，十分平常，家裡子女，都是英語電腦老

師，樣就是日語桑之正文，奧莉維雅樣曰，候船大廳擺攤，是開

始提供餐廳訂位服務，人多餐廳多，有此需要，上船後，等待寢

室整理，訂位服務，移到七層船中竹餐廳，繼續服務。因此，我

常夜晚，登十二層洛斯洛伯餐廳，溫習日文，這是一付費墨西哥

料理，她之前任佛瑞蒂，也是我之印度愛女，幫我介紹過，我也

旁觀過在該餐廳酒吧之雞尾酒講習會。

她告訴我其弟，留學台灣桃園，取得化學博士學位，任教馬尼拉

天主教，聖湯姆斯大學，現今正出差台北講學，我立即將中原大

學英文全銜念出，她馬上查臉書無誤，立即再問，是否為名校？

我說當然，理工起家，基督教立學府，她非常高興，然後指責船

上一位台灣人魔術師之無知曰，未聞過此校，我說表演時，彼提

為物理專門，她表懷疑，該彼自幼濜染於演藝圈，不可能讀書，

於是我更加小心，尊師重道矣。

因各餐廳職員，均需輪勤於奧西罕餐廳，我常有機會練習日語，

我甚至抱著教科書來，轉而練習於一位大廚師，船上大廚，就是

墨巾者，很多均需日本餐廳經驗，我經過竹餐廳日本壽司吧，就

日語呼叫歡迎光臨，然後又叫刺身太貴了，引起人注意，一般日

本人，不會如此魯莽，但餐廳內愛女，均轉身注意打招呼。一日

，她講一不愉快事在奧西罕發生，兩位盲人客戶來，她想安排他

們夫婦，與一位單客同席，但此女客不肯，盲夫也很煩，於是開

始爭吵，她也通知上司，後來雙方並未同席，當時餐廳客滿，因

她看過我幫這四位盲客戶，帶路到威尼斯餐廳，惻隱之心，所以

她向我提起此事，我立即認出這位台灣女性單身乘客，因為我在

地窖紅酒廳讀書，此女經過，與我有一段對話，印像深刻。

我問她是否讓我，向郵輪解釋？餐廳總經理是我女婿，她說不必

，這是這位台灣女士書面告到郵輪後，我雖不聞世事久矣，但仍

舊知曉這些是非。

Ainura, my daughter from Kyrgyzstan, is a beautiful girl with light skin,

pretty eyes, dark hair, etc. oriental figure. When I noticed her nationality,

I thought of Uyghurs, the Turkic race in the Western China, the Eastern

Turkistan. She has no idea of what I am talking about neither do my

Chinese daughters on board. After I come back from the cruise trip, I

check the Google, there are almost 15 million Uyghurs in China and even

48,000 in current day Kyrgyzstan. According to Chinese historical records,

Uyghurs et al were used to be living north of the Great Wall and were

Pushed by Chinese Hans Dynasties westward and the final big push by

Genghis Khans to the current day central Asia and Turkey. Also, according

to Chinese history literature that some of them were color eyes and white

skin. Ainura is a shy girl yet very beautiful and friendly with good manners.

Her home base restaurant is the Aqua Restaurant on Desk 7 Mid-ship while

Imelda is the Maitre d’hotel. I usually was seated in the front, left with Kathryn

or left wing with Myleen, and occasionally saw her passing by. She told me that

her station was on the extension, one corner of the L shape restaurant structure

with windows along one side of the ship with a good view. During the day time,

she would come to the Garden Café to help for breakfast and lunch as bus girl

or washie washie at the entrance until 5:00 pm. I pointed out her to my Chinese

daughters about her figure and outside appearance and their response was her

Russian influence.

One day, I was at an outside bar of a casino at St. Kitts listening to the Youtube

music. A pretty blonde girl smile at me and I didn’t know what was going on. She

was flipping her cell phone for something. I asked her if she was passing by that

casino that afternoon. She said yes and the blonde was hidden at her hair knot

and I checked to the fact. I chatted with Imelda about this unique sister of hers

and she told me that Ainura having been with the ship for a while which meant

a contract of 8 month because that I didn’t see her in February this year. Last time

I saw her, she was assigned to the left front wing of Aqua.

She does remind me of my encounter of another Kyrgyzstan young man who ran

the Munich Marathon in the fall of 2017. We talked about the central Asia and the

Chinese Belt and Road project and we did have a good conversation.

愛奴菈是位吉爾吉斯美女，滿首褐髮，白晰面孔，痴痴眼神，令

人傾倒，我真是情不自禁，邀彼為愛女，彼屬長女伊美達水餐廳

，在後廳服務，其實後廳，就是水餐廳之延伸，我都被安排在前

廳，左右兩角落，就是愛女凱瑟琳和愛女邁琳服務桌，不及觀看

延伸餐廳，一日離去餐廳，邁琳領我經此餐廳，確是別有情境，

旁有窗戶，面臨海洋。我在幾年前，路過墨尼黑市，客棧上遇見

一位吉爾吉斯青年，面孔外表，酷似愛女，有過愉快對話，這次

經查字典，始知羅馬字國名，就是吉爾吉斯坦，吉爾吉斯人，也

是東突厥斯坦之少數民族，我和船上中國愛女，談到這位有東方

面孔之白人，中國愛女曰，已注意到，但彼語俄文，我問維吾兒

族，結果雙方，兩愛女均不知我所云。

中國歴史中，確實有記載，這些北方之異族，就是大長城以北之

遊牧民族，像匈奴鮮卑等，蒙古元朝定義下之色目，是指白皮膚

者，碧眼者可有黑髮，但多為白膚，我和愛奴菈談此，她僅微笑

不答，一日在聖凱斯島上，賭場外酒吧聽網路音樂，有位紅髮美

女，滑手機路過，對我微笑招呼，我道是老來桃花運，回船上在

花園自助餐遇彼詢曰，是否在岸上相遇？曰是，再問何以紅髮？

她說主要是髮結之故，我再仔細觀看，果然紅髮束在尾端髮結內

。

一日，餐廳老闆愛女伊美達，與我寒暄，愛奴菈路過，我提這位

其妹，伊美達也是位絕世美女，非常有信心曰，此女在船上，已

經工作多時，不久，愛奴菈被安排在前廳，平常也在花園自助餐

廳，和大餐廳威尼斯早餐服務，每次遇見，她都靦覥微笑，輕聲

回語，我拍攝許多她之玉照留念，許多乘客也注意到這位美女，

經常與其談話，只是他們沒有我的相機，隨時待命，這是我郵輪

旅行，主要目的，認識各國美女，欣賞她們之風華。

O’Sheehan’s Restaurant/Carlos Pueblo

O’Sheenan’s is a 24 hours restaurant on Deck 8 Mid-ship and is my living

room on board. I have been attached to a high chair seat next to the stand

of the hostess. I always decline the offer for menu and food yet later the

waitress would provide a small kettle of green tea. They are always maintain

the best service of the industry standard. I have almost adopted nearly all

the waitress, hostess, and the assistant Maitre D’hotel as my daughters.

I’ll introduce three of them on the article, Roma, Lilibeth, and Jingle.

Roma replaces Rhea, another sweet heart from Philippine, and herself is

from Indonesia. She was very surprised that I could post Aku Cinta Kamu

to her that means I love you in Malays, both Malaysian and Indonesian

speak Malays. A young staff on Ship Jade wrote the note on my Tagalog

lesson sheet. She recognizes the T-shirt which I wear on the first day on

board. It is with a Conoco-Philip logo because that her father works for

that oil firm back home. She is one of the few daughters whom I can

advise the essence of frugal, saving, and investment and she is interested.

I have seen Lilibeth at the restaurant at least 4 times on board. I was

wondering why she was very shy toward me not like the other daughters.

One day I asked her if she was my daughter and she responded that I

never adopted her throughout those times in the restaurant. I apologized

immediately and completed my procedure of adoption, taking a photo

together and e-mail her the pictures when I return home. The job on

board has been provided for these young girls become ladies, hard working

discipline, good manners, and perseverance on top of their beauty. On the

back to back second route, she was re-assigned to the Italian La Cucina

Restaurant where she served us dinner one night yet her new restaurant

staff would come to O’Sheenan’s to support before 5:00 pm for one hour

and let the regular staff have a short break and they get off directly to

their home base for 5:30 pm dinner operation.

Jingle is another pretty waitress and with the same temperament, beautiful,

hard working, and good manners. I appreciate very much to meet so many

pretty girls working so hard at young age and that is why I think that I don’t

see that when I am at home. She can sing and dance. The restaurant is an

U shape in structure and I sit on one side of the hostess and there is another

side across the Grand Atrium down on Deck 7. She always waves to me and

I miss her.
