從西加勒比海歸來/莊峻華

昨夜從西加勒比海郵輪旅行歸來，連忙處理一些業務，稅表保險等，心中又

是繫念這次旅行，察看郵輪廣告，二月裡郵輪生意好，不再有特價，引我上

船，我可以專心報稅，凖備旅行日本，撰寫郵輪遊記，恢復平淡老年日常生

活。因為我尚未完成東加勒比海遊記，現在需要參入西部，一些不同人物，

所幸這些旅遊港口，多是舊遊處，惟心情感觸稍異，我續認義女，續與兩位

女兒晚餐，與都君晚餐，雞尾酒講習，歌唱比賽風波，與老郵輪乘客交談，

還有最令我懷念之幾位美麗愛女，都將一一描述。

每天清晨我都遇見莉雅在七層甲板打掃擦拭，白天就是莉娜，她們都是成群

船上旅館部之清潔服務者，非常認勞認怨，我先提出請求，然後經過其上司

阿密特之安排，順利的到義大利餐廳晚餐，她倆都很高興有此經驗。與都君

共餐，稍有遲滯，因為我不清楚需要，層層申報，後來弄清楚，按照上次手

續，取得許可，我們在凱格尼牛排店用餐，都君非常高興，他點豬排。

阿根廷女兒，上船次在酒吧，介紹我其布宜諾斯艾利斯同鄉，我們談起布市

市街道，這次我在六層蓋斯比酒吧，巧遇他主持之雞尾酒講習，先是馬丁尼

，先後兩次，參加者需繳費，我很節省，只免費旁聽，後來又參加墨西哥塔

吉拉雞尾酒，第四節是琴酒，因缺人取消，讓我有機會請教他一些基本飲酒

常識，將整理後描述，他是郵輪酒吧頭，主任調酒師，華特曼徳沙。

歌唱選舉風波，是這樣的，我因剛上任之節目部長，琇莉是愛女，她又認一

愛子為助理部長，勞輔剛結婚一年，我很可能當上曾祖父，所以特別捧場，

每夜首塲秀，必坐前排，一夜居然被助理選為主裁判，再三推辭不果，結果

坐上位，裁判需按觀眾掌聲，我又偏見，未等最後掌聲大小，就投票給一位

美女，勞輔主持提醒我，掌聲尚未，我是老頭頑固，堅持己見，全塲譁然，

而後一直道歉，幾乎全船人都認識我，我也道歉不斷曰，未繫助聽器。

依美妲是接任花園餐廳克拉莉妲者，克回馬尼拉後回信，耽憂繼任者，是否

提供相同服務，黎明號將依從天空號調來幫忙，依是位清秀絕世佳人，待人

親切，幾乎所有乘客均無例外，一上船就有愛女推薦，我幾乎每日要晨定昏

省，拜訪她好幾次。另外一位是莉亞，在奧西漢餐廳帶位，介紹我她之心上

人，我未來之女婿，莉亞晚上空閒，就站在我高椅旁，聆聽愛女凱莉在大廳

唱歌，她也唱但曰休假中之克拉莉妲唱得更好，我是聽聞兩次矣。

My Dallas friend, Paul Huang, mentioned the National Value of Taiwan question

to me in regard to the same question posted by talk show host to Taiwan President

Tsai and Taipei City Mayor Ko for their interview. He didn’t show me how both of

their answer, the National Value of Taiwan. As an admirer of these two distinguished

politicians of current day Taiwan and based on what I have learned from them on their

numerous speeches, including her speech at Washington D.C. before 2016 National

Election and his famous human life of four seasons, etc. I have this conclusion that

their National Value of Taiwan or Taipei is the seeking of the survival of Taiwan in the

future as a Nation and the reformation of honest virtue of Taipei extended to the entire

nation. Both of them are well educated scholars in their individual field, financial law and

medicine; however, I believe that they have been influenced by the classical Confucianism

and the current day western civilization, democracy, rule of law, and humanity.

In order to achieve the national survival value, What the great learning teaches, is to

illustrate the virtue; to renovate the people; and to rest in the highest excellence. This is

the opening of the Great Learning, then, from the individual to the nation accordingly.

First of all, extended to the utmost their knowledge by school education, lays in the

distinguish right from wrong; Secondly, wishing to rectify their thoughts by sincere in

their minds; Wishing to regulate their families, be sufficient and financial independent;

then wishing to order their cities and states; eventually to reach the value of the nation,

survival. We do and see that every day in our society, the governments in the position to

help to manage that task.

Democracy, rule of law, and human right are the virtue of Taiwan and the value of Taiwan.

It is very much different from current day Communist China. Chinese value is not acceptable

in Taiwan and both of them have stated very clearly all the time. You can see the difference

of ruling in Taipei for more than three years and Taiwan in two years, the reformation of

administration in the city government and national level to rid of the corruptive habit of the

old Chinese Mandarin bureaucracy.

達拉斯之保羅兄，屢提台灣價值說，約是某電視名嘴主持，詢問柯市長和

蔡總統，保羅兄並未提到兩位如何回答，但以我之觀察，兩位執政之性格

，我相信都是務實之，追求生存，行有餘力，則以學文，治國，治市，和

治家之道理一致，都需要鞏固內在，儒家曰，格物，致知，修身，齊家，

治國，然後平天下，或曰天下平，在現在之中國以為，釣魚台是固有領土

，台灣是我的，南海是神聖的，今日新聞一則，有一艘中國科學研究船，

終於抵達南極洲，記者作者開始調侃中國，又開始要神聖固有領土之說矣

。

民主自由法治和人權，是台灣之價值，我聽聞柯市長許多演講和辯論，蔡

總統在選前華府與中國通面談持論，都如出一轍，我們平民持家政原則在

此，柯在台北市，全天二十四小時，一週七日，全年三百六十五天，都有

人嚴格觀察，他之所作所為，都需要合乎他的理想，他想將他的理想，從

台北市，推廣到台灣全國，習進平主席，非常重視這位柯市長，這是中國

台灣專家之看法。台北市在進步中，遠雄將迅速破產，除非供出內幕，要

求法官赦免，馬英九和郝龍斌，都將面對國民黨自訂之法律，這是法治，

這是台灣價值，絕對不是習進平在中國說的算。

保羅兄對新潮流和段宜康有意見，我深覺兩者，或是一派，在對抗國民黨

中國人統治台灣，都有很重大之貢獻，新潮流大老，也是台獨理論家，我

們南投小同鄉林濁水，中年之後也十分落魄，段宜康在此任不分區立委任

滿，就業應該也是他的家庭價值問題，扁總統受非人道之迫害，罪魁禍首

是，馬英九，國民黨法院，國民黨法律，絕對不是蔡總統，新潮流，和段

宜康等人，他們份量不足輕重，請扁總統再多保重身體，讓台灣選民，今

年再唾棄國民黨中國人一次，然後習主席也死心踏地，承認中國人在台灣

已經絕望，台灣已經不是中國殖民地，超過一百二十二年，我在全求旅行

，從來不曾看過分離如此久之殖民地，又合併於殖民者，香港是例外，香

港不講獨立，不講香港價值，但仍有希望，香港獨立，有我的祝福，還有

中國之真正解放，解放於中國共產黨之奴隸，有我深深之祝福。

After adopting 45 daughters trip twice on Jade, I grasped my opportunity on

Dawn by adopting more than 50 daughters on last trip on board. I have enjoyed

So much ; therefore, I am going back to Dawn tomorrow in Tampa, Florida for

my third trip to the western Caribbean, Mexico, Belize, and Honduras, etc. I love

these daughters like that of my love to beautiful flowers, i.e. roses on the

Queen Mary’s Garden at the Regent’s; the city rose garden of Buenos Aires,

Argentina; Queen Elizabeth II Rose Garden in Vancouver, Canada; the city hall

Rose garden at Malaga, Spain; the flood control zone of garden lots of River Main

Of Frankfurt, Germany and the home garden at the old East Berlin under the Wall

Monument. I love flowers all my life and are like the cherry blossom, dahlia, peony,

camellia, and rhododendron, etc. It is a virtue that they are beautiful, very polite,

and working so hard to their job requirement. I don’t see that in current day U.S.

and my familiar society of Taiwan and China.

Dorotea was from Bosnia and Horzegovina, a sorry current day history in the 90’s.

I mentioned to her what I found after encountered several handsome Serbian

staff on Jade and my study of that part of Balkans. She referred me to Marco, a

well learned Serbian waiter on board for some history lessons. We did have two

lessons before my disembark at Tampa, Florida. We’ll continue when I embark at

Tampa tomorrow. At her fitness center department, I have had several daughters

this time around, Tracey from Johannesburg, South Africa and I mentioned the

protea which was originally from South Africa and spread to Hawaii and Florida.,

Nicole of London, England that I asked her about Harris Tweet Island., Sinclair from

Ocho Rio, Jamaica where I just visited; Alana from Ireland that I mentioned my visit

of Dublin in 2016 with great memory; Pauline from U.K. and Micaela from Zimbabwe.

They are a very friendly group of internationals.

 At the casino, I started with Maria, the dealer, and then, Joanna a cash girl who could

write her name in Kanji and I instantly knew that she spoke my native tone of Amoy.

Jeralinda was a cash girl also and Ncube was a dealer from Zimbabwe we did discuss

the coup recently. I met her husband, my son-in-law, Culeen another dealer on board

and their fellow countryman of a supervisor rank. I also met a supervisor gentleman,

Rio of Goa, India. He trained Joymilla, my dealer daughter of Jade from NE part of India,

at Goa before serve to the ship. Goa was a previous colony of Portugal likes Macao of

Hong Kong served as a gambling resort of India or that part of the world. I informed him

That Joymilla would go to Pearl in New Orleans on the next assignment and then Alaska

in the summer.

繼寶玉號四十五位愛女後，我又在黎明號認收五十位以上之愛女，這是我

經常郵輪旅行，最感辛福之處，郵輪上之愛女，年輕美貌，工作努力，有

禮貌，誠懇，敬業樂群，真是書本上曰之美徳，我在船上觀看愛女工作，

把幾十年，全球賞花之喜愛，暫時擱置，例如，華府賞櫻，倫敦皇家公園

櫻花，都柏林聖格林櫻花，瑪莉女皇玫瑰花園，依莉莎白二世玫瑰花園，

阿根廷市立玫瑰花園，瑪拉加市府玫瑰花園，法蘭克福緬茵河畔家庭花園

，柏林圍牆下古東徳社區家庭花園，玫瑰花，菊花，牡丹花，大理花等，

西雅圖之石楠花，我認為郵輪愛女，就像美麗花朵，郵輪是一片花海，中

國古典小說曰，羣芳競艷，有人將果蔬花列譜，我就依次介紹愛女，是為

近代羣芳譜。

上船後稍釋休息，掛上兩支相機，一尼泊爾布包掛在皮帶上，船上走動，七

層甲板，遇見多羅蒂雅，健身房，東歐巴斯尼亞，我在寶玉號遇見幾位瑟比

亞俊男，拜讀一些當地歴史，寫一些心得，於是她推薦船上一位瑟比亞青年

瑪口，讓我上了兩節當地歴史，第三節問到依凡安徳瑞奇之徳瑞基石橋，已

經下船，無慮，明日出發再上黎明號。後來，我在七層大廳和十一層本部健

身房，續認多位愛女，妮可兒蘇格蘭人，家住倫敦，我和她談起哈理斯特威

特島，她說從愛丁堡巴士行約四小時路程，辛克列耳是愛爾蘭人，住都柏林

外圍，我和她談到三一學院和聖格林之櫻花，她說應該走出都柏林，還有一

位是達徳瑞安，是牙買加八河人，認識許多寶玉號親人，也認識這些瑟比亞

俊男，她介紹我們寶玉號和珍珠號，從邁阿密港和紐澳良港出發，四日夜之

包船業務，多半是熱門暢銷樂團歌星和歌迷，由特別旅行社包辦，我正懷疑

其市場來源，但寶玉號愛女卡拉，確實提到包船行事。後來又收兩位，英國

之寶琳，和非洲詹巴為之米開爾，南非約翰尼斯堡之翠西，我們談到南非之

普洛逖亞花，夏威夷和佛州均生產，一朵三十年前，在休市特別超市，要價

八十美金。

在賭場也認上多位女兒，瑪麗亞，二十一點發牌者，非洲詹巴為之習安久，

剛好其夫坤林也在，一位便女婿，還有國內兩位六歲孫男，四歲孫女，我們

談到該國剛發生之政變，一位該國賭場經理，前來聊天，他對蔣介石很崇拜

，說是學校教導，也有一位經理，印度果阿人，寶玉號愛女喬依蜜勒，在果

阿島受訓後始上船服務，果阿為葡萄牙屬地，1961年歸還印度。還有喬安娜

，漢名戴恆安，祖父教漢字，潔若琳達，兩位都是換幣小姐，還有賭場帶位

，潔莎，與寶玉號兩帶位，蕾和菈蓮，都曾同事過，非常親切。

前日清晨散步，與鄰居碰面，又談起台北市長柯教授醫師，我必需掛出其

全銜，以示尊重，幾年前，我們為市長激辯，不歡而散，而後彼在遠處見

我，就調頭他去，最近稍有改善，這次又是我惹之禍，又問起柯市長如何

？他說啊眾叛親離，有百分之九十人，都不喜歡他，二十三位主管，都離

職而去，於是我又舉論語老夫子之鄉之賢者好之為例，他又不高興，他是

我高中隔壁班，同時讀論語孟子。回家後，我又舉手機，詢問峻嚴，他看

台灣電視，也問達拉斯保羅兄，他常寄阿扁意見來，兩人都同意，有這麼

一回事，簡余宴局長辭職是近事，有歸罪到柯之辦公室主任，大家都是聰

明人，於是我要他們比較馬英九市長和郝龍斌市長，孰善孰惡？皆曰柯善

，惟不見批評馬郝兩惡。提起定英語為台灣國語，海內外台獨諸公，均不

雀躍，真是費解。

我在美國工作約二十四年，五次被撤職，一次被逼辭職，每次都有原因，

都是違反公司規定和期待目標，一直到最近之十七年，有兩家保險公司，

一直讓我維持契約，繼續服務客戶，始讓我恢復自信，而且一家公司，是

一巨大之產物保險者，一家是官方保險，雖然收入不若當年，但我一直無

需領取退休金，貧窮出身如我者，一份固定收入，是對家庭之責任，何況

是單一收入家庭，所以我不相信辭職是自由意志，當然不是貪贓枉法。

昨夜寫作完畢，連忙翻開台灣政論節目，有講評者，但都不清楚，而且語

焉不詳，柯市長手下，有嚴格紀律要求，不能欺騙他兩次，這是新政風，

尤其是政務官。柯競選辦公室，公佈民調，柯在民調上領先各黨候選人，

而且有餘力，助選其副市長，參選新北市，柯甚至和中國關係，保持良好

，他主張民主自由法治和人權，中國不講，他也不必講一個中國，在中國

和美國眼中，國民黨已潰敗不起。中國統戰部，國台辦不是耳目不靈。

This old sugar cane land reminds me very much of my childhood hometown of

Puli and Huwei in Formosa. My father used to work at the sugar factories at

both places in the central and central southwest of Taiwan. He used to tell me

that the cane sugar production at that time, Taiwan was behind Cuba and Hawaii

and never mentioned the Caribbean Islands. Japanese developed the sugar

plantation after they occupied Formosa in 1895 with much advanced technology

; however, the European in the Caribbean Islands were much earlier and classical

with some European style left behind for today’s visitors to view. I walked straight

toward the cathedral on the hill through a very busy main street with  streets on

both sides. Like a Lunar New Year scenery in Taiwan, streets were full of frugal

tourists like me not taking excursion program offered by the ships and locals for

the beautiful beaches and coral reef viewing, etc. There were some uniformed

polices with whips to maintain publicity, the British system.

I did walk around some, actually only three or four side streets, to see something

before reaching to the top of the cathedral, an Anglican. It was closed under the

innovation; however, it was open for the tourists’ visit at the front and the main

hall with two nice manners members to receive us. On the church yard outside,

I could view the lovely bay with my binocular and took several pictures. Again, on

my way back to the ship, I walked around the side street again and saw some

bungalow houses similar to some in Houston Height and Montrose area with less

smaller front yard yet still unique and pretty. On the other side of the business

section, a young mother brought a young boy passing by me and the boy said

something in Mandarin to me and I was surprised and learned that he got it

from the computer games.

I missed the Nelson Dockyard, of course, it might not be at the walking distance

from St. John’s downtown. The Island honors his service to the British Empire.

He was here between 1784 and 1787 for the sanction to U.S. and one time in the

early 1800 to pursue French fleet in Caribbean without any catch. He married his

wife from a nearby Nevis Island where I reached later at St. Kitts. At the same

time, Napoleon Bonaparte’s wife Josephine was also a widow from Martinique

Island of the same Lessor Antilles of the Caribbean. I di some reading when I wrote

this journal how Nelson and his British Navy fought the Napoleon’s at that time in

Europe which helps me to have the interest to learn the modern European history

that how French, Spanish, and English fought in the sea and ocean.
